They’re really going in on the detail with the bird poop everywhere.

People have talked in the past about certain characters getting a Spice and Wolf spinoff. And normally, it revolves around characters like Norah. But honestly, I want to see a spinoff involving Marc and his wife.

I adore the brief scene that Marc’s wife is in. To me, she steals the episode with her fiesty attitude. Their relationship is obviously meant to play off Lawrence and Holo’s relationship, but it feels more wise and mature, like she obviously is giving it to him because that’s just how their relationship is and you can tell she loves him.

I just have always been in love with Marc’s wife, and I love how she kinda wears the pants in the family but it comes from this place of admiration. I think they are relationship goals.

Diana: Haven’t you come across such a story or two?

Lawrence: Funny you should say that, have you heard of r/anime’s best girl tournaments?

After the awkward conversation at the end of last episode, Lawrence dreams of Holo leaving him in wolf form…so all that he can really do is commit to finding Yoitsu, as it’s still an important part of their journey (especially if he wants to keep her with him as long as he can).

No better way to improve the mood in their relationship than bringing Holo some delicious wheat bread! Just look at how her tail stands up when she smells it!

Aw, Holo wants to see the town but she REALLY wants to see it with Lawrence…and she doesn’t want to inconvenience him by her presence again. It’s really nice, though Lawrence obviously doesn’t want her to know about his investigating yet so a proper festival date will have to wait.

You don’t have to twist Armati’s arm to give Holo a tour of the town, I’m sure he would’ve suggested bringing her along to Lawrence. Kid is absolutely smitten and he’s also used to catching every fish he reels in.

Lawrence travels with Gi Baltos to a den of alchemists, branded heretics and pagans by the church and forced to live in a ramshackle and tight community…but they’re actually mostly nice people and good customers. It’s not like Lawrence fan feign complete disinterest in the more “fantastical” side of things himself.

I would definitely be willing to risk being branded a heretic if it means becoming friendly with such a beautiful and charming “witch” as Dian AKA Diana (Akeno Watanabe)! Not only is she quite easy on the eyes and friendly, she’s also got plenty of knowledge about stuff the church doesn’t want you to know about.

When they talk about this bear that ravaged Yoitsu…why am I getting Final Boss vibes?

So Lawrence’s new clue to Yoitsu is the legend of “Holou” and her travel to Leno where she spent some time there in her travels. And as payment for this info, Lawrence regales Diana and Gi with his own legend of Holo.

Adele seems fun, I like her banter with Marc. It’s not that far off from Holo and Lawrences’ flirting and teasing each other even if they’re not officially hitched yet like the former couple.

You can tell Holo had fun when she’s absolutely wasted after a day of drinking. Even got a nice fur scarf out of it too, I almost feel bad for Armati that he’s wrapped around her fingers like this.

Something is up with Pyrite that people are buying so much of it and believing in it’s “miracle” properties. Seems like there might be some alchemy going on?
