      Not a Fun fact: The guest judge made transphobic comments after months of being the guest judge… she said Trans women are not and shouldn't be allowed to join the miss universe and they should join their own.. she's even against single moms like girl…

      But i really really love this episode ♡♡♡ WE NEED LANA TO WATCH DRPHS1 RIGHT NOW

      Speaking of Golden Gays, I can’t help not to share this but one of the ‘most famous’ Golden Gay, i think one of the pioneer too was Walterina Markova whose story as “comfort gay” during the WW2 occupation reached international headlines during the late 90s.

      Walter Dempster Jr. who went by the name ‘Walterina Markova’ was a gay drag entertainer in Manila who used to perform floorshows in drag during the 1940s and when Japanese occupied the Philippines from 1941-1945. Her story of being caught with her friends for ‘not being real women’ while entertaining soldiers in drag led to some of the horrible tortures and rape by the Japanese soldiers.

      Markova’s story stood out as a comfort gay while many women became comfort women, those were captured by the Japanese kempeitai and subjected to sex slavery by the Japanese soldiers.

      Markova’s story was made into a movie called “Markova: The Comfort Gay” and I admired how she remained strong willed to live and survive throughout the years despite her struggles. I believe the movie is in Netflix and published also in Youtube so you can watch it too. It’s an amazing adaptation of her life as a queer person during pre-war, wartime, and post war eras.

      I think it was KaladKaren who said Captivating KatKat and Meow Meow were channeling Ms. Celia Rodridguez, a mid-century screen goddess who played both heroines and villains. (Ms. Meow Meow said she looked much better teehee) Do google "Celia Rodriguez + turban"

      I just realized that next week is branding ( ding-ding ) named after brigs but that's because her storyline for the first half of season 1 was her brand i feel so stupid hahaha

      I'm so glad that everyone has gotten a chance to see Bernie perform (and not because she was at the bottom) because she is all that and MORE! And this was her in a long gown, so imagine how she's like when she's in more performance-friendly outfits.
