    1. Given all the hype this series has gotten, I started watching Season 1 even though I don’t normally like sports animes…

What else can I say other than this is a fantastic series! I’m currently on episode 15 of Season 1. I hope to be caught up in time for next week’s episode!

Hard for our boy to shine amongst these absolute titans. Everyone’s got freaking godlike superpowers lol. But it looks like with trouble in his team, he might be able to show everyone what he’s got next week.

    3. Bandai Namco strat:

Go all out on episode 1, then dip out for the rest of the season…

they did this to Tower of God Season 2 and now Blue Lock Season 2.. might as well call this producers “Baiting Namco”

Sad to see what’s happening to this series after such a solid S1, lol.

On the flip side, the manga is excellent!

      Yup its powerpoint !
And it looks like the change in director to a director who is specialised in Effect animation really shows in this episode .
Most of the episode has these Animation effects . Also It looks like they changed / completed the Shidou goal Last minute and added the Effects at the point of shoot , It definitely looks better than the trailer .

Also , Goddamn the Ost and the sound design , What is this sound design , whoever is in charge of this is absolutely cooking , paired with the Hype ost .

The shidou goal has to be my favourite , The effects looked so good + the sound design complemented the ost .

the chigiri run was also very cleverly animated , Again using the animation effects .

So it looks like They are going to depend more on Effect Animation , Which generally isn’t bad , Atleast it looks better than Blue lock selection 2 animation , Its not boring , Atleast something is going on in the screen .

I personally enjoyed the episode !
      Also , I love shidou

    6. this episode is so bad. Feels like audio drama with slide show. Never thought they can make it less movement than season 1

For anyone who is really that interested in the story, do yourself a favor and just read the manga. The anime just does not do justice to how amazing the art is.

    8. I’m so sad that the potential of this show is ruined because of the animation… they did Blue Lock so dirty 😭

    9. Okay this episode was shockingly bad, this might have been the single worst animation i’ve seen in a single episode.

    10. Yeah, the animation is…not exactly animation. Surprisingly still enjoyable though, whoever’s responsible for the effects is carrying it on their back so it at least doesn’t *feel* like Seven Deadly Frames.

Hopefully this means they’re saving the good (read: not powerpoint) stuff for the U-20 match.

    11. GOD I LOVE STILL FRAMES GIVE ME MORE!! I guess they truly wanted to stay true to the manga and just adapt the panels with no animation

    12. It’s one thing to be disappointed as fans, but I really feel sorry for the author and illustrator. Imagine seeing your work get this type of treatment…

    13. I didn’t have any hopes for the animation to begin with and I’m still extremely disappointed, jesus christ. It has come to the point where it’s genuinely hard to follow what’s even happening on the field since the majority of the match is still shots of the camera zoomed in on people’s faces. Maybe that’s why Isagi constantly feels the need to recap what just happened 5 seconds ago.

    14. Did they look at Uzumaki disappoint the hell out of people and think “aight bet”. That episode 2 was bad, but at least shit moved. This was Murai In Love level but worse.

Maybe they blew all the money on Episode Nagi?
