We can ready afford universal healthcare. We just have a brutally inefficient system and hate poor people.

You gotta limit how much people can make otherwise they get greedy. The reason prices are up is cos they realized they could charge more and you can do nothing about it. They wouldn’t do that if they got nothing out of it.

I say INSANELY high land taxes, with an exemption for everyone’s first property, and an actually helpful first home buyer’s credit.
Capital gains tax out the ass for people over say $10M? Lots of old folks are over $1M these days, so give them a break.
THEN we just general strike to put employers back in their place, and spend some of our extra taxes on anything in our borders.
Shit, if the only thing we did is cut our military by 10%, basically all our healthcare, schooling, and poverty issues could be solved.
None of that will happen until we stop letting big money use our human necessities as a gambling chip to force us into slave labor conditions.
