    1. Woah dang, this is progressing faster than I thought. Or they’re just getting certain things out of the way. Orphanage visit already, and then marriage interview? Well in the second case it’s most likely just Ojii-san being an old troll as expected.

    2. ObvsThrowaway5120 on

“Thank you for watching” lol. Well, that’s it folks. Wrap it up. 2 eps in and our boy’s setting out on his own haha.

I like how all the little kids were just pointing to each of the girls screaming “big boobs”/“small boobs” lol. Little goobers.

Our guy’s surrounded by waifus. In addition to the sisters, he has a tomboy childhood friend waifu and an older doctor waifu. Lucky!

Looking forward to the marriage interview next week.

I don’t think Yae’s room will ever remain neat and tidy for consecutive days. On the bright side, it is probably a treasure trove for art and manga.

Those kids were brutally honest about Asahi’s chest size. Lol!

The opening sequence featured other supporting characters. Looking forward to seeing them too.

    4. This episode kinda reminded me of TenPuru when that show’s MC also left the temple because he was too distracted by the girls there.

    5. Well, it would be a lot to spring on four teenagers, three of which are your granddaughters, that they’ll have to get married…though devious Amagami Grandpa holding over Uryu’s head that he’ll help him get into a high school that’ll help him get into Kyoto U just to make him stay. Maybe he can even be a shrine doctor? I’m sure that could work.

The OP is very colorful and upbeat! Featuring Uryu’s fate tied to the Amagami sisters, the sisters’ bewitching beauty, and all the characters that they’ll meet along the way of developing their relationships.

Yuna has a foolproof plan to get Uryu to leave! Bombard him with so many chores he’ll give up! Like saddling him with cooking with barely any ingredients! Too bad he’s actually a great cooking who can make a fine meal out of anything! Or maybe force him to do the laundry, including the girls’ underwear! Too bad he cares as much about their underwear as Asahi cared about his (also, what a spicy bra, Yae)! Or maybe make him clean the complete mess that is art college student Yae’s room (even Ichika Nakano would be thrown off by this mess)! Too bad Uryu is an efficient cleaner and finally lets Yae see the floor in her own room for the first time in ages.

What finally makes Uryu ditch though isn’t the chores themselves but having to put up with them and the girls’ nonsense instead of studying. So…he leaves. Well, shows’ over folks! I didn’t expect the romcom of the season would end in two episodes.

But the girls can’t let it end here so they stalk…I mean follow him to his home…and straight into a seeming horror movie. But no, it’s just his foster home.

“This girl has big boobs!” “This girl has small boobs!” – Kids just have no filter.

So Uryu DOES want to be a doctor in honor of his mother, just not only his biological mother but also his foster mother Mahiru (Nana Mizuki) who like a proper mother is already teasing him about his love life and newfound Harem and doesn’t take any grief from him. But she’s still his mother and knows him better than anyone.

Tomboy childhood friend? Shirahi doesn’t seem to see Uryu that way but could they be any more obvious?

Amagami Sisters folding cranes for young kids hoping their parents will get better so they can see them again! Even if all three sisters have very…unique attempts at crane folding. But even though folding cranes didn’t save his mother, Uryu will still make sure other kids still have hope.

Mahiru was a super mom taking care of chores and kids all at the same time, and that work ethic inspired Uryu. And maybe she’s his first love too? I wouldn’t blame him.

Well, it seems like now the sisters are even more accepting of Uryu! They’re practically a real family now! Which is great, because all those chores they made him do? He’s the only one qualified to actually do all of them. And since he’s part of the family, it’s time for proper arranged marriage meetings.

    6. Uryu’s relationship with the three sisters has already gotten substantially less strained in these first two episodes considering all this banter. The girls referring to him as “Uwu Kamihate” got a good laugh out of me.

Likewise, I was amused by Uryu being blazen enough to ask about the missing panties belonging to Yuna’s bra set. He was visibly more interested in spitting through some books than their laundry.

And honestly, I get: Uryu wants to follow in Mahiru’s footsteps and help these children out. I suppose that he doesn’t want anyone of them to lose their family like he did? He *is* a good guy!

Family likely matters a great deal to him as well. It would explain his happily surprised expression when the girls spoke of him as such.

[Gramps really knows how to convince Uryuu.](https://i.imgur.com/UwLA9fY.jpeg) Getting him into a high school that could fast-track his entrance to Kyoto-U [is definitely an offer Uryuu can’t refuse.](https://i.imgur.com/cu4WxYH.jpeg)

I always love hypercompetent MCs. [It’s funny how Yuna thought she’d make Uryuu’s life difficult](https://i.imgur.com/sxGnjpL.jpeg) only for him to pass all of her challenges with flying colours. The dude [is an amazing cook](https://i.imgur.com/G2YyuFD.jpeg), [great at doing laundry](https://i.imgur.com/JC5wxIT.jpeg), and could even do the impossible by [turning Yae’s messy room](https://i.imgur.com/wYScce4.jpeg) into something [that actually looks livable.](https://i.imgur.com/7nx7xXU.jpeg)

[Welp it looks like the show ends here.](https://i.imgur.com/owjdMgj.jpeg) There are just too many chores for Uryuu that he’s losing his study time. I guess from now the anime is now an SoL show about three shrine maidens. In all seriousness though, I love how [Asahi even tells us “Thanks for watching.”](https://i.imgur.com/aeEIe5o.jpeg) xD

[That explains why Uryuu is so good at chores!](https://i.imgur.com/hZWbE4W.jpeg) He came from a foster home that’s being run by… [**Nakano Miku!?**](https://i.imgur.com/FNLiI2h.jpeg) Please tell me I’m not the only one who thought of the Quintuplets when Mahiru showed up. I guess the design makes sense since Naitou-sensei used to be Negi-sensei’s assistant.

Side note: [Poor Asahi!](https://i.imgur.com/WfjNiut.jpeg) Those kids pointing at her and Yae’s boobs calling her small and Yae big was hilarious! xD

I was wondering if there was going to be a childhood friend. Like one of the Amagami sisters would be someone Uryuu already met when they were younger. [It turns out there is a childhood friend](https://i.imgur.com/zB4nC2j.png) and considering she lives away I don’t think she’ll be part of the Uryuu-bowl.

So it turns out that the other reason Uryuu wanted to become a doctor [is he wanted to help the parents of these children.](https://i.imgur.com/4o1NUEz.jpeg) I thought they were orphans but it looks like they’re just staying in that home for now because their parents couldn’t take care of them due to illness. That’s actually a very admirable goal.

I love how despite Uryuu being the logical one, [he still tells the kid that the cranes will work](https://i.imgur.com/UrzQFGt.jpeg) not because it’s magic but because [it will motivate the doctors treating their parents](https://i.imgur.com/FebBLQG.jpeg) to work harder.

It looks like there’s one more reason Uryuu wants to become a doctor, [he very much admires Mahiru](https://i.imgur.com/Oumfx45.jpeg) and wants to follow her footsteps into becoming a great doctor. <3

[Glad to see Yuna finally changed her mind about the chores thing](https://i.imgur.com/7utQF0e.jpeg) but it looks like Uryuu is still going to work hard [because they are absolutely useless with housework.](https://i.imgur.com/db7JKrW.jpeg) xD

    8. Somehow I liked this episode much more than the first one…probably because it had more Asahi moments.

I will be watching her career as the GOTS (Gremlin of the Season) with great interest.

    9. RedHeadGearHead on

I like that he gave a possible reason as to why the 1k cranes are effective. Motivation for doctors.

    10. I thought this was much better than the premiere. The OP helped sell me a bit as well, as there seems to be lots of other characters that will be introduced.

Why’d they have to introduce a short hair tomboy with no chance of winning. Damn you.

    11. Somehow I feel touched by the orphanage scene. Glad that, even though he wasn’t with his mom, he still got some love from the housemother and his friends and the orphanage seems to treat him right and well.

One question though, why the heck [Yae’s room cleaning scene]>!they need to censor the pile on Yae’s room floor? Is there’re something too NSFW? !<

    12. [Well](https://imgur.com/JyA0ywv), that was [nice](https://imgur.com/DyxVY8r). See you all when this gets a second season [](#loliwave)

Imidiatly knew that the laundry would [back](https://imgur.com/I8DR4sT) [fire](https://imgur.com/yWdZESo) [tremendously](https://imgur.com/LbLfdyL) [](#azusalaugh) But Uruyu being a) unphased and b) pretty capable was a nice twist

Ok, I knew I said [Asahi](https://imgur.com/iCbVhzT) was bestgirl, but I might need to [reconsider](https://imgur.com/oiAU3ZY) [](#squee)

And is that a [loosing Heroin aka Childhood friend](https://imgur.com/gYT8uFj) I spy [](#binoculars)

Oh and I also love how often the sister default into a [totem pole](https://imgur.com/fufN000)

And I swear I saw those [cranes](https://imgur.com/45YXWBq) refferenced elsewhere not too long ago

    13. The example sentence for “skeptical” in Uryu’s English prep book being “[He was very skeptical about God](https://i.imgur.com/B8SuPL0.png)” is so on the nose yet so perfect lol.

Love how the [sisters’ cranes](https://i.imgur.com/Vz40rVs.png) capture their personalities so well, and it’s especially impressive how Yuna managed to take longer at folding a regular crane than it took Yae to finish up an extra fancy artsy one (which genuinely looks amazing btw)

    14. Emi_Ibarazakiii on

The part of the OP that starts around 1:53 so reminds me of another OP/ED song… Rings a bell for anyone else? Would probably be a romcom or a light-hearted show, something similar.

    15. Does the childhood friend know Uryu is going to be married to one of the three girls? Childhood friend loses yet again.

    16. Yuna is a sweetheart beneath her tsundere personality. Immediately feeling guilted for Uryu leaving. It did give us a nice introduction to the orphanage that Uryu is from. It is clear as day that Mahiru is one of his motivations for being a doctor. Obviously, his mother being the other. This episode showed more of Uryu’s gentle side as despite what his beliefs are, he wouldn’t say something to distress those kids. Obviously, they adore him as well.

Through each of their actions, both the sisters & Uryu show how a genuine side of them. The sisters seeing how he is with the kids, but the sisters for coming all the way to see him. I love the show of the cranes blowing along with the sunlight.

[Although Yae getting yelled for something, I would get yelled at by my mom lmao.](https://i.imgur.com/jcy8SPf.jpeg)

    17. The character designs was so good. This ep presented 5 contender for best girl of this series.

He may not believe in the gods (for now), but he also rational enough to not be toxic and destroy the kid’s belief.

Uryu’s heart is in the right place. Now, the question is will he choose one girl or go the harem route.

    18. Is Mahiru an option? Because she is the true best girl in all this. Shirahi is also very cute, but the Childhood Friend flag means death even without the title. There’s always Yae supremacy at least. I can fix her.

    19. Those kid eyes were creepy.

Yuna sitting comfortably in the middle as the only sister not getting commentary from the foster house kids about her chest size.

Interesting that it isn’t a true orphanage but is a house for kids with sick parents. Plenty of room for storytelling meanness with that setup, there’s always going to be another one with a potentially dying parent.

Uryuu is so good at pretty much all household activities it makes me wonder how long before the competition for him starts since surely this will have the usual setup of a first arc or two before all of the members of the shrine maiden harem get on board with the plan.
