I’ve been picking up digital art recently after being inspired by [@ocana_dana](https://www.instagram.com/ocana_dana/)’s artstyle which I *really* like. So I tried doing something but totally fell apart on drawing the face. Decided to figure out the basics one piece at a time, starting with the eyes.
The top 6 are referenced from Ocana’s various works.
The bottom 3 were me trying to apply the same style to make new eyes from scratch.
My main takeaway is that color theory is hard… Turns out eyeballs shouldn’t be plain white haha. Also *lots* of shading and blurring… and the brush size I found most comfortable was smaller than I expected!
