    1. The show has its ups and downs, but overall it’s pretty decent. I didn’t expect a season 2 right off the bat, especially with season 1 having 27 episodes.

    2. i really ended up enjoying this one. happy to see a season 2 announcement, looking forward to that and hoping we don’t have to wait too long

      8/10

    3. 😭 y’all the way I started crying once they had Mutsumi mom give the video speech.. it’s giving Violet evergarden episode 10 and I’m always weak for the trope when a character sends a message into the future and another character can’t reply to it.

Mutsumi’s mother can rest in peace knowing her daughter has the best possible husband though. Great finale to the first season of one of the best new gen series. I hate this didn’t get more attention, what a fun ride.

Kawashita got off way too easy for my liking after everything he did to all the test subjects over the years, but I guess him rotting in prison and living with his failure is decent. What’s cool about that final fight is that again it wasn’t Taiyo overpowering someone, but being quick on his feet and using the skills he’s learnt over the season to target Kawashita’s power source aka the former Yozakura head, and take him out without incident. This season was really all about him becoming a proper spy and he and Mutsumi becoming a true married couple and this ending satisfied both of those!

We finally got the wedding and it was wonderful! Like I said the video tribute got me in the feels, but actually shed a tear when the ED started playing with Taiyo taking Mutsumi’s hand. 😭 Love them so much, they were a joy watch all season and it really feels like we saw them grow up before our eyes. One of my fave shonen ships! But marriage is just the first step, really excited for season 2 and where this story goes next with Tanpopo seemingly done, is that dad really gone? Who’s the next big bad? Lot more questions and I can’t wait to see em answered!

    4. Their Mom recording in advance greeting Mutsumi on her wedding reminds me of Ai Hoshino’s recording to Ruby and Aqua as well. T^T

On the bright side, we just got a second season announced! Looks like I will still need to hold off on reading the manga.

    5. * [**Taiyo & Mutsumi**](https://i.imgur.com/eMogi3b.jpeg)

The scene where [Taiyo rips out the someinine threads](https://i.imgur.com/ffbmQXt.jpeg) was such a great call back to the start of the series where Taiyo grasps Kyouichirou’s Steel Spider to grab Mutsumi’s ring.

[Get absolutely fucked Kawwashita!](https://i.imgur.com/agSWRRW.jpeg) It’s so awesome to watch the siblings work together to contain and weaken him [with Taiyo delivering the finishing blow.](https://i.imgur.com/DoBcbMK.jpeg) He’s apparently not dead though since we see him [locked in a cell waiting for his sentence.](https://i.imgur.com/poxKA0v.jpeg)

[I love this scene between Taiyo and Kyouichirou.](https://i.imgur.com/SXuMAZx.png) Despite all of the shit Kyouichirou gives Taiyo, he does appreciate him, especially after pulling off their little secret mission.

That face-off scene [between Ban](https://i.imgur.com/RGeFCs8.jpeg) and [Momo was freaking cool.](https://i.imgur.com/eAo9577.jpeg) Too bad Ban wasn’t able to stop Momo from running away. While they were able to retrieve Rei”s body, it looks like Momo ran away with her heart.

Now that the mission was a success and [Rei has finally been laid to rest](https://i.imgur.com/lP5Nyzj.jpeg), it’s finally time for [Mutsumi and Taiyo’s wedding reception!](https://i.imgur.com/1MZBEv2.jpeg) They never really got any kind of ceremony when they got hitched so it was nice to end the season [with a Yozakura-style wedding](https://i.imgur.com/1MZBEv2.jpeg) and a [heartwarming video message from Rei to Mutsumi <3](https://i.imgur.com/I0Rrvzq.jpeg)

I’m so glad that Season 2 is already confirmed! Not gonna lie, I thought it would end here because the anime hasn’t really been making waves but it’s good to know that we’ll see more of the Yozakuras especially now that the manga is about to end.

    6. I’d probably write an essay if I wanted to pen down how I feel about this show as a whole. So I’d just say, this was an incredibly enjoyable show. Sure it’s not the most grounded or realistic. The writing is a bit wacky. It’s similar with Assassination Classroom in terms of how zany and happy-go-lucky the vibe is despite the deadly nature of their activities.

But this show also has a lot of heart. Can’t count the number of times this show has made me tear up. Both from tragic moments but also from heartwarming moments. It’s the kind where you overlook the writing or realism of it cos you’re just attached to the characters.

I’m really glad S2 is announced. I was fully prepared to say goodbye to these characters cos it seemed like they took down the biggest bad. But apparently there’s more

    7. Would’ve been crazy if the mum name-dropped Taiyo in the video. Mums know everything, after all.
