Welp, things really couldn’t get worse. 6O and Commander will be missed but at least we still have A2 out there…
On the other hand that puppet ending was hilarious, imagine that happening x)
Those scenes with 6O at the end there after being infected with the way it was presented and the overall audio was, reminded me so much of 86. It was so great, and psychologically terrifying to watch through.
Huh. I guess I wasn’t really expecting humans to have basically all been wiped out and for the androids to be keeping up this whole charade. What even is the point of retaking earth if humanity is basically extinct? All it’s led to is the machines hijacking all the androids. The whole operation was a shitshow. 2B and 9S barely made it out back to base before that got overran too. How are the two of them gonna stop the machines?

Dam this part of the story doesn’t get easier. They cook a little too hard for this episode, I think I’m a bit traumatized. Why they gotta make 6O so lovable. It hurt to see her die.
Beyond amazing adaptation so far. Like beyond what I ever expected of this project when it first got announced. The fall of the bunker hit just as hard if not harder than it did in the game. 10/10 work A-1 pictures, I pray that this doesn’t run into the same production issues as last season.
I’m with those attacking YorHa puppets in the puppet show, what the hell was that ending? Shit made me feel sick to my stomach.
Ah I see the title drop during the bunker explosion is still as good as ever.

So far this show is an upgrade compared to the previous season – really good action and atmosphere. More people should watch this show – seriously.
I have only experienced the lore through the anime, but doesnt this mean that the war is effectively over since the machines have destroyed the military capacity of yorha ?
Have they added Subtitles yet? They weren’t there earlier unfortunately
Holy shit incredible episode that immaculately adapted one of the best parts and biggest turning points of the game! S/O A-1 and the staff for really nailing it. I remember a time when people on the Nier sub used to laugh at people asking for an anime saying it was impossible because of the way the story unfolds, but they’ve more than done this justice.
The cat’s finally out the bag with the knowledge that humanity’s been extinct for a long time due to the events of Nier replicant and the Drakengard E ending before. They’ve teased so much gestalt stuff, I want a replicant anime 😭 and the ED having a Drakengard Zero reference also gives me hope we’ll see that one day..
The androids fighting this incessant battle with a cycle of death and rebirth from backups is just really depressing to think about. All those missions and battles we’ve seen 2B and 9s go through, what did they even mean? They’re always fated to die after 9s discovers the truth. Yoko Taro has an amazing way of invoking philosophical themes in his writing.
The virus fight scene was so well done, 2B cooked! They also perfectly handled the black box scene with she and 9s. Almost cut for cut, wow. The tension you felt during that moment just praying those boxes would touch so they could wake up in the bunker and get help from command..
But no help’s coming because even command is taken over! 6O bugging out under the influence of the virus was horrifying, the commander having to take her out is so sad considering how close they are. But the twists weren’t done! The commander has it too 😭 I had to rewatch that last 2-3 mins a couple times because it was that damn good.
No back up coming, no command, just 2B and 9s fighting to make sense out of everything and survive now. I can’t wait to see what A-1 cook up in the next few eps and to see my baby A2

Whatever is on the is basically just a massive server with maybe some small amount of human genetic data stored in there. It’s depressing to think that these androids have been dying and killing for an extinct species this entire time.
This entire episode was just utterly depressing. No amount of [2B’s butt shots](https://i.imgur.com/M8pB0Y1.png) is going to make the pain go away. Well… maybe a little pain went away [after seeing that glorious butt](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/b49zcqnz8my.jpg). Still, it sucks to see just about everyone die with only 2B and 9S left. [Those corrupted YoRHa puppets](https://i.imgur.com/4IkSxB1.jpeg) in the after-credits scene certainly have the right to complain about this episode.
