A debugger gets trapped in a VR game and has to report all the bugs back to the devs to (maybe) be able to log out? That’s such a novel take on trapped-in-a-VR-game formula.

Well this was not at all what I expected. Thought it would be a straight fantasy but instead we got a Log Horizon/SAO/.hack//sign situation. I like that we saw things from the NPCs perspective first. That was pretty interesting.

I’m kind of curious to know what happened to Haga’s bug testers and what Nikola’s deal is. She’s not just any kind of bug is she?

    3. Dang, I didn’t look at the tags before watching this. The title makes way more sense now.

So this is technically VRMMO, but I’m curious how heavy it will actually go on the gameplay mechanics. Since we have Nikola, I’m expecting it to be less ‘in our face’, we probably won’t be getting any big flashy numbers or stuff.

Trapped in VRMMORPG and our protagonist is not an OP MC. But a debugger 😱

    5. IT’S SO GOOD!!! This is the anime I was most hyped for this season, and it was everything I wanted 🙂 Definitely significant steps above the usual isekai slop. The main duo are already so compelling, I can’t wait to see their adventures. And the monster design!!! So good.

    6. That ED was such a nice and catchy song, might be a candidate for ED of the season.

Episode was good too, fun little AOT reference in the first few minutes.

    7. I have no prior knowledge about this show going in so I really didn’t know what to expect. All I know is this is an isekai based on the show’s title and nothing else. So it was very interesting [to start this episode by following someone who lives in that world](https://i.imgur.com/ncRCxpo.jpeg) instead of our isekai’d protagonist.

Letting us get to know Nikola was a pretty great start! Seeing how [she has a curious mind ](https://i.imgur.com/0uqCanR.png) and how wants to [learn more about the world outside her village](https://i.imgur.com/kUEPauv.png) really made it more effective [when they dropped that plot twist on us.](https://i.imgur.com/0yHRJrI.jpeg)

It turns out this is technically not an isekai but a VRMMO and Haga, our “isekai’d” protagonist, [is actually a debugger](https://i.imgur.com/8vwc9Nr.png) who’s job was to make sure the village gets wiped out. He and his friends have been trapped in this VRMMO [for over a year now](https://i.imgur.com/jhHjEEG.png) and it looks like he’s the only one still debugging the game in the hopes that he’ll be let out.

Thankf fucking god that [Nikola is still alive](https://i.imgur.com/itmbQoC.jpeg). It looks like she might be one of the many bugs in this shitty VRMMO and based on that ED, she’ll continue to travel around with Haga. I think I might prefer this over Dungeon People. I’m curious to see where this one goes!
