That explains why this sounds similar to Preview of Me and visually similar to Shikimori. So far this is my 2nd best OP of the season, but I predict it will be a fan favorite this season.

Agreeing with the majority, visuals are great here, Idol is a better song, but honestly this slaps. Very pleased with this (while admittedly going in with very low expectations because there was no chance of this being as good as S1 because Idol is my fav op song of all time).
The final scene of this op with Ai in the crowd legit made me tear up.

Song is pretty damn great. Kinda comes off as goofy to me the way they try to make it look darker than it actually is, the same way an edgy teenager tries to act tough. Kinda my main reason why the tone of the series doesn’t stick well for me.

I really like the new OP. I knew Tatsuya Kitani was involved but listening to the OP, I could tell he did not do the arrangement. I could recognise the style but I couldn’t point out who exactly. Hate how I couldn’t recognise Giga (he did Ado’s – Show & Odo).

Like honestly, the greatest sin of the song is that it’s competing against Idol and I won’t hold that against it. Might take a few more listens to really get into it but I think they’ve done a good job with it.
