    1. Between 1983 and 1998, Studio Pierrot made 5 different magical girl series – Creamy Mami, Persia the Magic Fairy, Magical Emi, Pastel Yumi and Fancy Lala. This will be their sixth.

In the center of the image illustration is a catchphrase that reads, “We want you to sing once more.”

The announcement was released on the 40th anniversary of Creamy Mami’s final episode.

I’ve only seen Fancy Lala but I kind of liked it, but a bit of that was down to the era being just right for the artwork.

    3. Well now Pierrot doing magical girls again huh? How good are those other 5? I may watch one or two of them before I start my precure journey in the coming future

    4. Maybe a bit off topic. What is the significance of “Magic Girls”. Why is it a thing? Why is it a whole genre? Any anime expert want to eli5?

The [Youtube video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2noyoRImXL8) is English subbed and wrote the catchphrase as “Sing it, again――”.

The copyrights for Takako Aonuma / Shueisha and Bandai Visual could be due to the previous Pierrot magical girl works (e.g. Takako Aonuma wrote “I Love Persia!” which “Persia, the Magic Fairy” was based on).

There’s also been the reopening of the [Pierrot Magical Girl Series Official Website](https://pierrot.jp/magicalgirls/). That said, I can’t seem to get the episode guides (only up for Mami and Persia) to show any info but all the thumbnails and even the images on the character pages are actually 4:3 1080p screenshots.
