I would have played turn 6-7 differently.
I would have gone to stillsuits turn 6 instead of hardy and that would result in extra water.
Turn 7 I would have IS first with down up. Then combo up shift up. Then use gene manipulation for another ship to deliver 4 troops from shipping track.
I guess I see turn 7 win con as winning combat rather than SMF
