      Pretty awesome seeing Hikaru save Aki and beat that green haired little pissant into a pulp. Ain’t no one touching his buddy Arma!

      THE PILOT! THE PILOT IS HERE!!!!

      Oh my god, it’s so beautiful!

      Seeing all those scenes that made me fall in love with this series being remade with this kind of animation felt seriously amazing and I barely found out about this a few months ago.

      I can’t even imagine how the original backers from Kickstarter and the staff themselves must feel. I’m so damn proud of this anime and everyone involved in it.

      Also, I can’t believe it took me this long to notice Tohdoh’s Mecha-Ude isn’t shackled. It was hard to tell in the pilot because its design was purple like the other shackled ones back then, but here it has a different color and doesn’t seem to have the wraps either.

      That scene when Hikaru fused his arm with Alma was so fucking epic.

      Also fingers crossed for the Aki Hikaru ship to sail, would be the icing on the cake for this already amazing show.

      Also Aki cute.

      I was a little worried that the “don’t do anything” arc for Hikaru might last too long, but my fears were unfounded. Both Hikaru and Alma powered up together in this episode, but despite their great buddy synergy, I suspect they would require training from Aki and the ARMS organisation to become proficient in combat.

      Nakama Power Lets Go!!! Awesome transformation scene.

      So Mecha-Ude actually power up the host that they attach to, like some kind of parasyte. Hikaru’s hoodie gonna gain sentience and become Senketsu 2.0.

      All these different mecha-udes are so damn cool!

      And while I love watching Alma drag Hikaru around in a hilariously undignified manner, them finally fighting together was cool as well. Did they manage to stay conscious just because Alma was fused to the hoodie instead of Hikaru’s body, or is it something else and Hikaru’s low something-ium count is a misdirection because there’s other shenanigans going on with him?

      So that kid (Romi Park!) is looking for the strongest mecha-ude there is because he has a weak body? Well that’s as good a reason as any I suppose.

      I hope Aki keeps opening up little by little, that was a nice smile she gave at the end. But looks like her story is more complicated than it seems, ’cause I’m pretty sure that was her not-dead twin after the credits.

      The pacing was fantastic today, they really nailed the third episode – I believe it should hook most people who stuck around.

      I like how Hikaru is mostly sensible – he’s neither cowardly, nor reckless – it’s good to see a shonen MC who is mostly balanced, for a change?

      I’m 100% sure we’ll see more variations from Alma and Aki’s arms eventually.

      They’ve already added a sympathetic angle for the green-haired antagonist (wants the Trigger Arm because his body is weak/sickly/probably dying). I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s redeemed eventually.

      Holy shit the last fight was just glorious and I’m already pumped for the rematch

      I’m guessing the worm guy will be a baddie later on in the series so I can’t wait to see them fight again (also looks like Aki has a twin sister it seems)

      I’m suprised he’s sewing him back on his shirt I wonder why he doesn’t keep him on his arm

      I was wondering when or how they were planning to incorporate the pilot into the show, they didn’t disappointed at all!

      Hikaru/Alma power up scene was fantastic.

      Aki is slowly opening up to Hikaru and showing us how much she loves cookies

      I wouldn’t be surprised if neither faction are the good guys. Right now the only reason ARMS is even working with Hikaru is because he’s Alma’s power source.
