The creative design of having everything go red when Turbo Granny is there was a fantastic and eerie idea.

Eh~ Man can you just imagine if some bigshot male idol came out to say he was already raising his own family, like imagine Jungkook dropping that bombshell out of nowhere. The sheer wailing of fangirls around the world would probably create massive cursed spirit in the Dandadan-verse.
Anyways gratuitous sexy granny alert, at least it’s not some skimpy loli granny that’s been ubiquitous in anime. Also the various rapey/assault panels got toned down and just zoomed in, thank god for that.
Hmmm.. I think the spirit realm has different color art if the realm was activated by the Aliens or Youkai/Spirits, monochrome for the aliens and red and black for turbo granny. Guess will know if this is true once we get to future arcs, it could just be stylistic choice for now.

Okarun is an absolute champ for managing to hold in both his bowels and demon granny while being completely ignored over a conversation about psychic powers (but tbf the thought of levelling up my powers would probably steal my attention away too)

Nah,Seiko in this episode is gonna UNLOCK something new in a lot of people… maybe me included.
Seiko is finally here and she made quite an entrance, I love her already! It’s funny that she doesn’t believe in aliens, but I think she’ll change her mind about that soon xD
Overall, the best episode so far, even though it didn’t have much action! Momo and Okarun’s chemistry was already crazy good in previous episodes, but the addition of Seiko made this show even better.
Watching Okarun when he wanted to poop, but Momo had to keep an eye on him so he wouldn’t turn into Turbo Grandma was freaking hilarious.
I can’t wait to see how Momo and Okarun’s encounter with Granny goes in the next episode
By the way, Momo looks so good with glasses!

5 sets of push-ups, back extensions, squats, and sit-ups aren’t enough. Everyone knows you gotta do 100 push-ups, sit-ups, squats and a 10km run every single day to get real strong! The real training seems to be forcing our boy to hold in his business. Poor Okarun almost made a mess in his pants lol.

Witnessing mizuki nana going from voicing fate testarossa to someone’s grandma feels surreal ngl.
is every character in this series just full of charisma? seiko is so fascinating, she toes the line between super strong, bad ass loner and caring, but distant grandma so well. in just 1 episode, she’s shown enough depth to warrant her own solo spin off series. momo could not have anyone **but** seiko as a grandma. i’m completely hooked;
extra points to the animation team for giving her a characteristically slow grandma walk
God damn this granny!!!! Also both her and momo were wearing stirup leggings! OH YEAH
I have to say, this series don’t let things slow down. It’s pedal to the metal even for a toilet scene. I wouldn’t have minded a quick training arc, but this is better.

Man, never heard Tanjiro this hopeless romantic and frustrated. LMAO Okarun’s character is really expanding the range of the VA.
Meanwhile, Momo’s VA is just chef’s kiss, the little quips and nuances on her voice is so cute. Her conversations and banter with Okarun and her Granny felt so natural. So real.
Granny is so fucking cool, sexy and hot. Love the choice of the VA too. Imposing but still with warmth and a pinch of crazy.
This adaptation really elevates the manga to a new level.
Love how the exposition about barriers were explained while Granny was fighting Turbo Granny and then she demonstrated it to knock out Turbo Granny.
Not sure if Granny used her psychic powers to know Momo’s feelings or perhaps she just know her granddaughter better than Momo herself. She really went hard teasing and shipping Momo to Okarun.
Momo VA is amazing, she conveys such a wild range of emotions one after another.
Man does this show have everything on point, or what? The art, animation and dialogue aside, even the sound impressed me today. The comedic timing was perfect (like the ‘ah’ of pleasure when Momo hear Ken’s name and swoons)
It’s hilarious how Okarun is doing a speedrun of cosplaying all the shonen MCs. We’ve covered Mob and Kaneki, and now it’s time for Saitama with the physical training.

The territory-bound powers reminded me a lot of the concept of demesnes in Wildbow’s paranormal-based webnovels (Pact/Pale). Honestly a fantastic concept, but I’m surprised Turbo Baba was able to threaten Ayase’s grandma on her own turf like that. I’d be amazed if they actually beat her in the next episode which such little training (and no extra help).

Why the grandma is so hot?
The only way to stop a rampaging monstrous Turbo Granny is with the power of ANOTHER Granny…Momo’s! And Momo’s gorgeous good looks and tough as nails personality runs in the family as Momo’s grandma bashes Turbo Granny with her bat and seals her up good. It really looks like she’s about to do to Okarun what she always wants to do to Momo’s boyfriends and annihilate ’em!
Momo cares about her grandma, she finally properly apologizes for not believing in her for so long…but ahead of all of that, she cares about Okarun and wants him to be okay. Even if finding out that he’s perfectly okay in the main shrine after she was so worried kind of ruins the moment.
I love how the Ayase women can believe in psychic powers but aliens? Totally fake.
They really picked a major baddie with Turbo Granny. Not only is she a powerful Yokai, but she’s also fused with a regional spirit making her so strong not even Momo’s grandma wants to mess with her in her complete form. But if they’re going to save Okarun and his balls, they need to beat her at her own game with a game of tag.
Momo subscribes to WWKTD (What would Ken Takakura Do?) which means she absolutely HAS to save Ken Takakura…which means she’s totally head over heels for him, as her grandma notices.
I love how Okarun and Momo can go from flirting, caring, to sniping at each other at the drop of a hat.
I love how Granny Ayase’s normal outfits and loungewear are so revealing and she totally had that idol pegged (well, he isn’t officially married to his baby mama, but still).

Time for a proper Shonen training arc! And what better excuse for Momo to learn to master her psychic powers and ability to control aura’s than making sure she doesn’t have to watch Okarun take a dump? Not that it works, but I guess this is a new level for their relationship at any rate.
Hmm…I wonder what it would take for Momo to unseal the rest of her powers? They might need it though, since Turbo Granny is planning to use Okarun to curse everyone in her life to death. But the moment she targetted Momo’s grandma, she made this even more personal.
Momo’s grandma may be a nagging hag, but she and Momo truly do cherish each other.
Momo looks great in a shrine maiden outfit, but she looks even MORE amazing when she strips it off and rocks a proper outfit! She’s a gyaru, if she’s going into battle, she’s going to be looking her stylish best.
Am I blind or was there a line of dialogue spoken by Momo where they failed to animate her mouth moving??

I love how every character has their own charm and quirkiness to them along with the fact that the show has a surprising amount of heart to it. I can’t wait to see the next episode.
