The real million yen prize was the friends he made along the way. Or something lol. Hiro really has good people around him. Real homies let you crash at their pad and help take on your debt. Takaaki’s a real one for sure.

that went different than what i expected, figured they’d use part of the winnings from the shark and he’d have to pay it back by working at the store with reduced pay or something. Well he is still paying back by working at the store, just to Takaaki instead of the store

It’s true Hiro’s stamina is incredible.
He went to the wrong anime. A few years back he would’ve killed it in Run with he Wind.

First Toshimaen park last week (closed 2020), then Palette Town / Venus Forst in Odaiba for this episode (closed 2022). Feels like this series was in production hell for a long time.
