The cheerful atmosphere at the end of the episode is actually kind of scaring me.
I feel like the reason Rietz suggested to have one more mock battle was because he wanted to get back at Mireille for losing to her last time lol.
Ars’ first big war. Should be pretty exciting to see how everyone does.
Lenge was pretty naive but I’m glad he learned. He’s got a lot of raw talent, he just needed a little refinement.

Cute outro. Rietz being so crazy about Ars is a bit much, don’t really think I’ll like that gag if it continues. Charlotte looks different outside of her mage outfit.
Good thing Lenge realized the flaws on his mindset and actually helped in the negotiation.
Licia is fucking OP that she made it seems like a child’s play.
It was also a nice bit seeing Charlotte sleeping with Licia, wonder when will be the right age when Ars and Licia sleep together like a proper married couple.
I thought Ars and Licia gonna kiss or at least hug her during the send off but they still held back.
Next week gonna be Ars first official battle. Can’t wait.

Rosell did learn a tactic from Mireille, simply invoke Ars’ name and you can get out of work when Rietz is around.
It was all “keikaku douri” from Licia’s perspective! She knew they’d need to bribe Shakma, so they just needed the perfect pretense for a bribe and a “gaffe” that would provide enough of an excuse for him to believe they’re being sincere. So Rengue’s blunder was the linchpin to the plan, along with Licia’s outfit! What an ingenious plan!
“What you’re doing is wrong!” – I don’t want to hear that from THIS idiot. But Rengue ultimately means well, he’s just so loyal to Missians and so honest to a fault that he can’t comprehend any kind of political duplicity. But that’s a sign of his privilege and how much he needs to learn about how others lower than him have to use any means at their disposal for the sake of Missians, which doesn’t mean they love it any less. He runs off in a huff, straight into the rain, but having helped raise him as a child, Lumeire knows he’s a good kid.
Okay, so convincing the Paradile officials will be harder than convincing Shakma because they won’t humor talk of independence, and they’ll only talk to honest to a fault Rengue…except, Rengue threw Vasmarque under the bus as the one seeking independence!? Huh, he actually lied!? Wow, he really took into account what happened, bowed his head in apology to Licia, and actually trained himself to lie and create disinformation to help sell it! He even said Ars’ name right! I’m as proud of him as Lumeire!
Couran is happy to see the negotiations go well and how much his son has matured, so perfect excuse to pay Ars! Though now it seems like they’re set for a proper military campaign, with Ars helping lead the charge!
What’s going on at House Louvent without Ars? Well, Mireille is training Rosell while drinking herself silly and Rietz is having an emotional breakdown without Ars there. Good thing Ars got back when he did.
Look at Ars and Licia on a date in town before the big battle! And look at how much Ars’ people love him!
Figures Ars and the rest of Lord Raven’s kids would want to pay their respects before they head into battle. Hopefully Ars can live up to his fathers’ legacy and prove himself on the battlefield.
Look at Licia seeing Ars off like a proper wife. I hope he returns to her soon!

I see, clever Licia. Still don’t think we needed to have her strip. I can get the whole “desperation” thing, but coulda done without a child stripping. Still, great to see Licia showing her cleverness.
Pride is good and all, but you’re too much of a simple fool to be a ruler yet. I don’t think I’d have wanted him back in time for the negotiations tbh. But maybe I’ll be wrong. Ok, well that went easier than expected. Hey, good on you for realizing you were a fool and wanting to be better. Now that’s the right path to a good ruler.
Charlotte getting just plenty of sleep this trip. Good for her. And Licia showing even more her cleverness.
Whelp, good with negotiations, onto the war preperations itself! Mireille is so fun. Also, kinda surprised they left Rietz there cause he’s a great body guard too, but guess Charlotte was enough. D’aww nice date with Licia. And such good towns people. Whelp then… war were declared. Next week should be interesting.
Ok, color me impressed. I thought Lenge would be the idiot of the season for at least 5-6 ep, but he learned his lesson really quick. Looking forward to see how he helps in the future.
So Ars is going to his first battle, hope he’s able to stay strong. Not expecting him to do any actual fighting, but hope he’s able to be an inspirational presence on the battlefield.
Also, wanted to bring this up before but, what’s with the random screemo at the end of the OP?
The MC is still complete trash, but the whole cast is amazing. Still enjoying the show, but cringe real hard at the 30+y/o MC acting like he’s 10.

What a surprising turnaround! [Ater Lumiere told Rengue that what Ars and Licia did were necessary](https://i.imgur.com/qTondCw.jpeg) he ended up realizing that he was the fool [and even apologized to Licia later on](https://i.imgur.com/L38PxrG.jpeg) asking for her guidance. I’m so relieved. I thought I was going to hate Rengue but I’m glad [he recognized his mistakes](https://i.imgur.com/HxuIAOc.jpeg) and is now striving to be better.
Feels like a calm before the storm episode, Ars has surrounded himself with a good team but will interesting to see how hard this war will be.

Was planning on waiting a few episodes until Rengue got better, but was happily surprised it happened in a single episode within a few minutes.
Actual beginning of the war it seems which will be cool to see. This show hasn’t had the strongest budget for action so hope it’s a decent amount which seeing the preview heads straight to battle so thats good.
Having Ars command the army for that first major battle that will set the tide of war is a big undertaking though. Especially this is also being his first war to witness. He’s also not the most capable fighter or strategist compared to his retainers, so not sure what he’s going do.
People are SLEEPING on this show!!! I can’t get enough of it!
“Father do I have the face of a warrior now?” Man pure chills at the end of this episode, Kantei skill really knows how to deliver these unexpected emotional episodes and I love it. Ars and everyone gathered in Semplar heading off to battle was just an amazing scene.
The Ars that Raven said was too young to go into battle seems like a lifetime ago, he and all the others have grown so much and it’s time for their first big test together. All the training, all the war games and recruiting, it all comes down to next episode. Hype.
Fairs actually surprised that Rengue grew up so quickly. I knew he would become an important asset to Ars’ faction, but I didn’t think it would happen in one episode. I guess after hearing about that Licia masterclass in negotiation he HAD to get some tips and wisdom from her lol. Plus he now sees “lying” isn’t something that’s bad if done for the right reason.
Licia planning everything including Rengue interrupting her and “ruining” negotiations all from the start is crazy. I need to see her go up against Ayanokouji lol. One of the best female fantasy characters. Awesome episode man I love this show so much.
P.S CASUAL CHARLOTTE?!! We need more outfits from her she looked so good today
So Rengue did the ultimate heel to face turn in 1 episode 😁 The WWE writers would be proud. He’s no longer the fall seasons biggest bag anymore, and that should be a huge boost to his future ruling confidence.
Anyway, I am seriously enjoying the pace & writing so far. We avoided the 1/2 season of meetings and got plenty of movement forward of the upcoming battle. Everyone is getting their fair share of screen time and have the board set for Ars and the big battle. It is very awesome that Ragu got his name correct this time. Though I butchered Rengue’s name this 1 time as payback!
All the little things every episode are great. The visit of everyone to the gravesite of dad, Ars saying that the gold reward can be used for walls and soldier salary & seeing Rengue do everything to help the citizens by asking for help from others.
Overall, a 8.5/10 episode this week.
