    1. “Old Magic glyphs”. God damn this show really is the convergence of two of my favourite shows (LWA, and Owl House), which I feel bad saying because sometimes things should be judged on their own (Especially since the Web Novel came out before Owl house.)

I was looking through the character names and some of them are quite amusing.

    2. Yuzu was a bit of a dream squasher, until she started to convert at the end.

I wonder why the government restricts who can be magicians, but left that loophole for their teacher.

    3. The intro had no business being this funny

Yuzu reminds me of Diana from LWA so i Hope It stay The same as Diana was goated

    4. I almost feel like they snuck in a geometry lesson for the people watching the episode today. At the very least I don’t remember having previously learned that geometry has the root meaning of measuring earth.

Maki is very good, I hope we get to see her turn into a magical dancer.

    5. It’s pretty obvious that the only reason [Yuzu is pulling Kurumi down](https://i.imgur.com/uj6rcYW.jpeg) is because she was also hoping to learn magic [but she didn’t want to get her hopes up.](https://i.imgur.com/VWiDrM0.jpeg) Might as well act as if it’s never going to happen rather than be disappointed later on.

[Magumi are only allowed to be magicians](https://i.imgur.com/VWiDrM0.jpeg) and [only men can lead a dance troupe.](https://i.imgur.com/LvluXsY.jpeg) It looks like this show is going to be all about breaking traditions. I wouldn’t be surprised if Maki is really disappointed that it’s her brother who’s going to inherit their troupe, [she’s just good at hiding it.](https://i.imgur.com/EIFTA0M.jpeg)

[It looks like Minami-sensei really is set on teaching kids magic.](https://i.imgur.com/rr6BpCC.jpeg) It looks like she found a loophole by teaching her students to draw spell arrays by hand instead of relying on magic notebooks.

Not gonna lie though, if I were one of the kids [who had no intention of becoming a magician I’d be upset](https://i.imgur.com/mGDs78B.jpeg) if my teacher is teaching me magic instead of what they should be learning. However, it looks like Minami-sensei was able to sell them the idea by relating magic to their dreams.

Minami-sensei is really [giving these kids Mister Miyagi-like tasks](https://i.imgur.com/AjdCNk0.jpeg) before teaching them magic. If only she had [shown the kids that you can use magic by hand](https://i.imgur.com/KdU8oVT.jpeg), she would’ve had an easier time convincing them. [Yuzu seems to be finally convinced](https://i.imgur.com/GL3oWWM.jpeg) after Minami-sensei rescued them.

    6. Hmm, well, even if most of them aren’t aiming to be full on magicians, magic could still be useful in their own pursuits.

Oh god, it’s math class. I’ve changed my mind, they can have the magic, I don’t want it.

I wonder what the person that transforms into a dog’s deal is. She also appeared to use a similar magic to Suzuki.

She’s not quite there yet but Kurumi appeared to have the right basic idea on how to use magic. Just missing a bit of finesse.

I’m a bit curious on what the apparent villains of this show are up to. They’re obviously plotting something and I want to know what it is.

    7. I was just looking at Anilist after the episode; is this an original anime? Cause it appears so on there at least.

I really hope the whole thing ends up being good.

    8. You know what, I bet that Yuzu’s dream was also to be a magician, but she was so crushed not to be accepted into the magic program that she became all cynical about it.

Also, TFW you enroll into magic classes but end up doing math. Yep students, I get ya.

    9. ObvsThrowaway5120 on

Everyone’s telling Kurumi she can’t be a magician but she totally can. All she needs to do is believe in the Suzuki sensei that believes in her!

Who knew magic began with geometry. I was just as lost as Kurumi at first lol. Math is *not* my forte. It looks like she got the hang of it though. She’s got the makings of a good magician!

    10. I don’t know what it is, but there is something about the art of this anime that makes me love it so much! It makes me remember the magical world crayon art I used to draw as a kid

    11. LMAOOO Suzuki having to stand in a step stool to teach the class is killing me 😭. She’s too cute. But if the girls follow her lessons, I think everyone will have a chance to reach their dreams.

Kurumi idc where you start, you can be a magician if you believe in it and put the work in. We saw glimpses of it today especially at the end of the episode. Also starting to get a little direction here with the antagonist(s) and plot direction they wanna go in. I’m curious about the Magami, particularly Asuka’s twin brother’s issue with Suzuki-sensei though.. and I’d like to know more about the criteria on which they evaluated who was fit for Magami or not because they def got things wrong with Kurumi.

Yuzu continues to have me in a chokehold. I get such strong cure Nyammy vibes from her lmao. Hopefully the near death experience today will make her more chill so she won’t be so harsh on Kurumi. Great episode though, the art is so beautiful in this I love it.
