We finally got an answer to if it is wrong to pickup girls in a dungeon: It is totally fine… unless you have a date with Syr
Hosting an entire Rizz Training episode and shadowing an entire date is probably the most Freya Familia thing to happen funny enough.
Freya’s deathstare when she saw Syr and Bell together though jeez, that immediately stood out compared to Hestia and Ais’s reactions to them.
It might not be wrong to pick up Girls in a Dungeon.
Hedin’s putting poor Bell through some hellish training. The upside is he can make even more waifus swoon haha. I worked wonders on Cassandra and Syr. Bad lucking bumping into Ais though lol.
Is he really gonna kidnap Syr though? Freya and her people aren’t gonna let that slide…
Man, i legit have no official way to watch this. HIDIVE just shows me a “service not available in your region” message, Crunchyroll has seasons 2 and 3, Netflix has seasons 1 and 2. I can see season 4 listed on Prime, but it says “not available in my region”.
It’s like they’re begging you to pirate it, the heck are the distributors thinking.
Bell didn’t need those lessons in Rizzenomics, he can impress girls naturally
Now i’m even more curious to find out what is actually going on with Syr, seeing as how much effort they are putting into keeping her safe.
the date training montage was pretty fun, Bell even did such a good job he knocked out Cassandra, and probably made Daphne feel like she was third wheeling lol.
Not surprising Syr doesn’t like that Bell acts too different from how he normally is. though Bell is just doing it to not make trouble for himself and his familia..
And nice to see Ais again, such a long time ago since she was part of the story
I loved the episode but they did cut out some stuff which made it feel a bit rushed imo.
So Freya and Syr have some kind of relationship, even though they’re both distinct individuals who respect/acknowledge each others’ opinions…and the Freya Familia seems absolutely loyal to both, though Otto will probably always go along with Freya.
Bell has been kidnapped…to a cafe! Because Hedin is planning to turn him into the perfect gentleman for his date with Syr! No thinking about other women (especially Ais!) and none of his usual dense harebrained antics! And he has to do it or Hedin will murder his entire family! And he means it!
I love how Bell’s Harem in the Hestia Familia are already on red alert for another love letter when it’s just Bell’s letter that he’ll be gone for a while and to please save him!
Time for spartan training, gentleman style!
Who better to train on Bells’ date skills than Cassandra? She already has a crush on him and she’s easy to please, though I feel kind of bad for her that Bell is going all out on their indirect kisses and sharing sweets with her when he’s just doing it as a test. But at least she had a nice dream about something good in her life for once. Also, Daphne stuck as the third wheel to such a cutesy, lovey-dovey, display.
I can’t believe one of the tests’ for Bells’ gentlemanly prowess involves him LITERALLY PICKING UP GIRLS IN THE DUNGEON! And it works! Those three girls were already head over heels and asking him out to dinner (together? Do I smell a threesome?). Too bad Bell can only have thoughts about Syr.
Ryu is still off her game because she doesn’t know what to do about BellxSyr or her desire for them to not go off on a date, but it seems like Mama Mia knows who Syr really is considering she’s aware of how Freya Familia regards her.
Did we need to see another scene of the Hostess of Fertility girls in their underwear as they discuss how to get out of work and enjoy the Goddess Festival? No, but I’m not complaining.
Is that Goddess with the massive rack doing the introduction for the festival meant to be Demeter? I wonder about the other Goddess’…is one of them Persephone?
How better to get out of work to spy on Syr’s date than to use the Hestia Familia as temp workers? They wear the uniforms well! Though Mama Mia will still probably rake them over the coals for ditching work.
Bell is looking very spiffy in his suit and Syr is looking very nice in her white date outfit! And Bell has become the perfect escort for a lady, being the absolute gentleman and taking proper care and consideration for Syr across their date! He took to his training well.
In fact maybe this date is a little TOO perfect, not that Syr isn’t happy but she wanted to go out with the dense, dungeon (and Ais) obsessed, idiot who she could take the initiative with, not this smooth ladykiller. But she can’t deny she’s happy.
Oh hey, Hermes and Asfi! Hermes still commenting on Bell’s love live! And Hermes knows who Syr really is.
Oh of COURSE they run into Ais, who is just eating…and eats even faster when she catches Bell getting close with another girl. And look at Syr marking her territory and flaunting Bell in her arms! What a power move.
I love how Hestia was able to get out of work from sheer incompetence making them kick her out and how she’s willing to team-up with Ais if it means stopping Bell and Syr’s date.
Syr is a little pouty that Bell had to go through rigorous training just to go out with her when she wanted a pure Bell experience, but he owes her one thing…taking her away from all the prying Freya Familia eyes just so she can be herself with him!
Itsuka Shidou’s variant out here really gave the MC:
* A spartan training about going on a date
* Made him question if it’s really alright to pick up girls in a dungeon
All just for going on a date with this side character who:
* Suddenly became relevant in the 5th season of an anime released in 2024,
* And also weirdly related to another character who’s deeply in love with the MC, who has been working in the sidelines throughout the series, going on some 4d chess just to make the MC stronger for her.
Crazy stuff we’re in right now if you get what I mean.
Edit: Well, looks like there are some who don’t get the small Date a Live joke. Danmachi fans should also check it out if they still haven’t.
Syr is really docile and cute. I know why the whole Freya Familia wants to protect her just like how I know why they are so loyal to Freya through the ED. But the mystery behind her identity is really killing me. I want to know who is she so bad.
I saw “streams: crunchyroll” and got excited but nope, still Hidive.

As a side note, for the start of the Festival, you saw Demeter give the opening speech. She’s the Goddess of the harvest and fertile soil. The Festival celebrates all types of fertility, though I imagine Freya gets the most attention for her type, especially after yeeting her “competition”.
I got confused by Syr and Freya, but I think i now the answer.
Syr is Freya but Freya has someone that just like lili can transform into other people and she had that person transform into her. Without her familia knowing I presume.
I still not understand how Freya herself is transforming into Syr but maybe that someone has the ability to transform others and not just themselves?

Another absolute banger episode. And man, you can tell the pace is really stepped up from the last season (although that one was my favourite so far), everything’s moving so quick that I’m surprised the episode is suddenly over!
One of my favourite things about Danmachi is seeing Bell’s growth and maturity as it’s gone on, as he’s gotten more responsibilities and he’s started taking the Dungeon more and more seriously. And so seeing him actually being able to deal with women, and talk to them, and go on a proper date with one… even if it’s in a calculating way, it’s still really nice.
Would be great if we can see him lose his shy, “Ehhhh!?!!?” stuff from now on and take things head on a little more often, like he did this time.
Conversely though, one of my least favourite things about Danmachi is the slapstick it sometimes falls back into, and the arrogant+obnoxious overpowered adventurers that often accompany the story. I’m something like 100% sure we’re meant to find Heidin fairly endearing as a “Tough master figure” but man I just don’t like him at all. And I really don’t like Bell calling him Master. He can fuck right off.
EDIT: I’m a big Cassandra fan so I was very happy to see that scene with her. Daphne’s reactions were fantastic too. The characters are so vibrant and animated this season, it’s wonderful.

Bell and Syr date was a lot funnier than I expected. Was just waiting the whole time for “you are acting differently”.

It takes some real skill to do such embarrassing things, yet not get embarrassed. I definitely felt for [Daphne who had to watch all of this unfold](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/84jdcdxkd54.png).
[Syr clearly enjoyed her date with Bell](https://imgchest.com/p/qe4gx8b3kyj), and she even got [to assert her dominance over Ais](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/j7kzcrpvpl7.png)! Ais appeared more interested in clearing her bag of food, however. Or was this stress eating?
[Syr looked a little less pleased](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/my2pcwqpq87.png) to find out that Hedin had been meddling with their dating plans, which prompted her to blackmail him into kidnapping her… that’s not how this usually work, right?
Bell didn’t have a particularly great time as he was basically [treated like an insect by Hedin](https://imgchest.com/p/agyvwlopk48), but it was probably [Ryu who looked the most pained](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/d7ogc9ala9y.png) in this episode. I’m hoping that something good happens to her soon! I’d rather see Ryu with a smile on her face after all.

This episode is the most hilarious DanMachi episode I have ever watched.
This could have been the pilot episode because it’s so coherent with the title
Lol Syr wanting to mark her date in front of a rival but Ais is just there nom-ing
Tbh I can’t recall much from anything before S4 so I can’t really remember Syr and how we met her. But she does seem to be deeply involved with Freya. It almost feels like mother-daughter dynamic but the mother is some super strict and overprotective one
Bell actually sounds like Petelgeus from re:zero on that dungeon while getting dragged
Hedin training Bell honestly came out of left field, but especially by the middle of the episode, it started to just being funny. Him saving those girls in the dungeon, and you can tell the training is taking its effect, but then immediately his true self shows as he gets dragged back was hilarious. The fact that Hestia was so useless in the bar, so the Hestia just told her to go look after Bell was both sad and funny. Ais seeing Bell on his date was hilarious since we all know Bell’s feelings for, and it was the one chance for Syr to tease Bell. It is obvious Bell’s true sincere self is what she likes about him. She appreciates the thought since he was sincere.
The last scene was surprisingly pretty tense. Throughout the date the Freya family is always watching them, where her request to kidnap is more so a request to save her. What more eludes that she feels like a prisoner in the Freya family. We all know Bell won’t deny that request, so how things proceed next episode will be really interesting.
Ryu, Syr, Freya, Cassandra(?), Lili, Haruhime, and the many young ladies that have heard of Rabbit Foot. I didn’t miss anything, did I?
Truly a lady magnet, and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka is the perfect VA for such a character.
