    1. The Japanese title translates to “Better apart in the afterlife.”

It’s an antonym to “together in the afterlife,” which is exactly what this toxic yet inseparable relationship is about.

Hmm Yoshino seemed very clueless as a lead…like both socially and standing up for herself.

But her in that last scene, that’s the kind of lead I wanted to see!

Curious to see if she’s able to keep up with that much confidence/attitude.

Nisekoi if it was good? Or at least amusing to watch, don’t know if this is actually good yet. But anyway, say hello to the toxic romance of the season. I wonder if this couple survives each other… had a blast watching it regardless. Shame the animation is a bit stiff; the OP looks much better then the show itself. At least this couple has chemistry, toxic though it may be. I’ll keep watching.

    4. That was a fun premiere episode! I liked Yoshino from the very beginning and I’m very curious to see how her relationship with Kirishima will develop.

Yoshino and Kirishima’s relationship looks very interesting considering what a messed up person Kirishima is. It doesn’t help that every time I hear him I picture Regulus Corneas from Re:Zero xD

I love the OP song! [THE ORAL CIGARETTES did a great job with this one](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgS27LlO_5U), I’ve been listening to it for over 3 days already. Definitely one of the best songs this season, here are links to [Spotify](https://open.spotify.com/track/46mVcLRZJ5PRJ3CsoRXDTY?si=6902fffe34734276), [Apple Music](https://music.apple.com/pl/album/under-and-over/1768235801?i=1768235802) and [Youtube Music](https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=yiubyUaNCuI&si=Ct_Al-nLMdRN35KT).

I’ll later update the post with my screenshot albums from the episode.

    5. I have been waiting for like 4 years for an anime adaptation!!!

Hope this will make the series more popular than ever! Best toxic relationship that is surprisingly cute and wholesome eheh

So Kirishima is polite on the outside and a yakuza enjoying violence on the inside. He might even be a male yandere, which you really don’t see all too often.

Yoshino’s character, on the other hand, isn’t fully clear yet. Can’t tell whether her yakuza personality is just an act, or an actual part of her she had just been hiding. I think it’s the former.

An “innocent” girl having to act all yakuza to impress her yandere boyfriend is definitely a promising premise. If I am wing we might have a double yandere romance, which also could be interesting.

    7. Definitely sets quite the tone for to have a guy voiced by Akira Ishida looking forward to a girl messing up his life.

The OP is a really jazzy and smooth beat, fitting for a Yakuza Romance, as Yoshino and Kirishima find themselves drawn to each other in the seedy, sinful, and complex world of being Yakuza.

Yoshino Somei is an Osaka Yakuza Princess living with her grandfather and grappling with trying to live a normal life among Yakuza while having a mature face courtesy of her grandfather that makes her look like a hostess. Typical teen problems, right? She’s even getting married off to some guy she never met because her grandpa’s best buddies with some other Yakuza boss! I guess these kinds of romcom plots happen with Yakuza too.

No wonder Yoshino finds the Miyama Boss attractive, he’s voiced by Kazuya Nakai!

Kirishima Miyama seems like a nice, affable, and understanding guy. And he’s not actually a Yakuza, so that means he’s A-okay, right? I’m sure nothing about him will ruin that image Yoshino is getting in her head.

Poor Yoshino. She gives transferring schools to Kirishima’s a go and the first time other girls talk to her it’s to suss out her relationship with Kirishima and then shun her out.

Kirishima’s response to being publicly related to Yakuza is Yoshino’s first sign that he’s more than just a pretty and nice face. Especially when she catches him leaving a room with blood on his hands…and he has Yakuza tats. Not Yakuza my butt!

It’s not easy being drop-dead gorgeous and having great fashion sense, girls think you’re a hooker and guys try to pick you up in an alley. Though Kirishima makes short work of them, and brutally too.

The real Kirishima isn’t a normal guy, he’s a psycho who craves violence and drama and wants a rotten woman to have her way with him. So Yoshino, being relatively normal, doesn’t interest him and he has no use for her. So if she’s not willing to sell her body or make something of herself, he’d rather her tuck her tail between her legs and go back to Osaka. Way to ruin a girls’ image of you, Kirishima.

But as much as Yoshino would rather go back than deal with Kirishima and being bullied, she can’t just quit. Not when she’s a Somei and she has too much pride to let people run over her like this. She should be the one breaking KIRISHIMA’s heart instead of the other way around. Just look at her three-timing grandpa who was almost killed because of said three-timing! Are there any decent guys in the Yakuza?

Yoshino isn’t about to let Kirishima or her bullies define who she is, she’ll straight up SELL HER OWN KIDNEY for 4 million yen just to make a point and make it clear that she isn’t taking any @#$%. And that…actually makes Kirishima fall in love with her and want to marry her!? Huh!? That definitely did not go how Yoshino planned.

What a memorable and fun ED with Yoshino in a fancy dress that shows off her amazing legs as she dances along with the men in her life (love triangle) and by herself and showing this is HER show and she’s going to enjoy every minute of it. We even got her showing off her bare back and sideboob.

      ~~”I can fix him/her”~~

      “Let’s make each other worse”

That was entertaining lol. Kirishima may be crazy, but I liked that Yoshino is no pushover and kinda crazy herself.

    9. They done the manga so dirty, the animation is absolute ass compared to the art in the manga. Their facial expressions are so stiff and awkward. Even all the characters look like shit, same for the whole animation in general. In the actual manga you can feel the art and every panel/expression. It’s way more intense. This just feels mediocre, even though the story is so damn good. This award winning manga deserves award winning production/animation, such a waste….

omfg it’s finally out. not a bad first ep coming from a manga reader who probably read through the vol 1-8 5 times already hahahaha. animation could’ve been better but tbh i expected worse coming out of the trailer. i don’t mind the stiffness too much tho. yoshino coming out so badass was *chef’s kiss* probably the only anime i’ll ever watch raw no subs. excited for ep 2

This feels like my fantasy (minus the yakuza part), I might like this series a little too much. Kirishima should be more respectful to Yoshino though.
