    Animator Evakoi reveals that he made more money from a single Boruto Episode than from working on Five Bleach TYBW Episodes combined


    One boruto ep (#287) that I worked on got me more money than 5 Bleach TYBW eps (#9,11,16,21,26) I worked on combined. And I spend more effort on bleach, more than on any shows I worked on perhaps, but they kept ruining my cuts, after saying "it should be less complicated, dont add more frames,
    but don't worry, we will get you on next ep, it will be more freedom for you"

    And then next ep was same story…. I love bleach and I wish adaptation the best, maybe with this new Pierrot Films thingy they will go all out. I seriously hope so…

    I've always tried my best on Bleach on drawings even if it was just the layout.

    of course, my situation is more of an exception, because amount of cuts that I did for each ep is different + boruto paid a lot for the rush.

    But its still sad, I did more cuts for bleach than I did for boruto (47 bleach vs 28 boruto cuts), but got less outcome and my scenes were usually downgraded. The only good changes was when Sakai-san helped me with 2 explosion FX cuts. But I kept working because I believed that they will improve the situation.

      Studio Pierrot have always had trouble production wise with weekly anime. I’m not surprised that they offered 4x the usual for Evakoi’s cuts on the boruto episode.

      what does surprise me is that they didnt offer an increase on the base cut prices. I didnt think Pierrot would be that cheap with their bleach project. Just not a good look for pierrot here, sucks for Evakoi

      anyways, its atleast a good sign that Bleach is on a much healthier schedule.

      Wow so Boruto’s production was so screwed up it forced them to actually pay someone properly. I don’t know how to feel about that lol

      Damn. They even ruined his cuts and told him to make it less complicated.
