Gonna get backlash for this take but I really wish newer anime could top off popularity charts instead of series that are continuing. Like Oshi no ko last season and how makeine held the number 2 spot for almost the entire season.

Before we try to put too much stock in this chart, it’s important to note that there were a grand total of just 4064 votes cast. With such a small group of voters and it being Week 1, crazy proportions like this are more likely.
I’ll be interested in how things look next week.

Was thinking about starting it but I’m slightly skeptic, is Uzumaki any good, does it hold up to the manga? I saw a snippet of it and it seems to try replicating the original style but with the exception of it being animated?

Blue Box is the perfect eye candy show this season. I’m absolutely in love with the show after just watching the first episode. Visually it’s very good and looks like and somewhat okay romance show as well, really interested to see how it holds up.

Happy for Re:Zero fans that they get their continuation season. Personally, I will wait for it to finish airing since it is confirmed to be 2 cours and rumors of a 3rd cour potentially. It’s a series my enjoyment when binging is significantly higher.
Dandadan & Blue Box were the two manga that I read weekly and seeing them both get great adaptations is fucking spectacular. The interview at the beginning of the prescreening for Dandadan is all I need to know this adaptation is flawless and at the level of Frieren & Monogatari. Just everything is done perfectly. Blue Box looks really good as well. If it can elevate the sports content in the anime from the manga where it was lacking, I will be beyond happy.
I recently read Tying the Knot With an Amagami Sisters. We actually have a harem series outside Hyakkano (100 GF’s) & Quints that is getting a good adaptation. Really adapted chapter 1 well and the fact it is getting 24 episodes straight is a blessing. It has a slow start, but once it gets things rolling it is great.
Neither of the anime originals that I am extremely high on are on here. That being Mecha-Ude: Mechanical Arms & NegaPosi Angler. The former with a really impressive episode 1 visually. Conceptually it was very intriguing and how they will expand it. The latter dealt with some sensitive topics, but seems to be leaning towards an Iyashikei type of show. Visually really excellent too.
I like seeing 365 Days to the Wedding made it. The directing in this series should be great, and hopefully the visuals are good enough to hold up. The story is both good and fun. For #6 I Villainess show where the Villainess wants to be a Villainess sign me up. Although Alicia based on her design is going to draw comparisons to Yumiella, which despite the poor visuals, people loved her and her anime.
Two sequels that are not on here are DanMachi S5 & Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Disturbance. Both are starting new arcs and both are starting with a bang. DanMachi giving a character with a mystery focus. For Kenshin a boost of visuals & more focus for the rest of the cast has me intrigued.

While the last part of that Rezero episode was thrilling, am I the only one who think most of the episode was kinda cringe? Now that I think about it, in s1 and s2 my brain was too focus on how subaru was gonna pull through that it ignored how annoying subaru and some characters were.
