I enter this with little expectation, tbh expecting it to be as “annoying” as Bling-Bang-Bang-Born. Turns out is doesn’t. Certified banger indeed. It’s another kind of banger compared to Same Blue so I can’t pick who is better. Same Blue is more melancholic and hits you in the heart while Otonoke makes you want to move your feet and say Dandadadandadadandada.
Was expecting somewhere between *Mashle* and *Chainsaw Man* and got *Kemonozume*.

What’s crazy about this opening art style is the range of animation. one second it’s funky, vibrant caricatures and the next it’s realistic, visually stunning backgrounds with meticulous detail. Overlay a banger opening, this has to be contender for op of the year.

I really like that they colour coded the enemies, you can see it in the opening and on different posters
when we get an action scene the lighting switches to the enemies’ colour and sometimes they play around with them
first episode Turbo granny is red and the Serponians are blue when okarun appears through the phone the two colours mix together
