    1. Week 12 of Summer and **Oshi no Ko** has retaken the top spot from **Makeine**.

      **Stepsister** and **Pseudo Harem** took big leaps both in karma and in rank with their finales ending up in 4th and 5th. They might have scored even higher if reddit had not been down for over an hour that day.

      Happy to see **Yatagarasu** making back-to-back appearances on the chart. Yesterday’s finale should make it a hattrick too.

    2. It looks like last week was just a fluke, as [**Oshi no Ko S2**](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/1fjv3u9/comment/lns3n8p/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) defeated [**Makeine**](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/1fgqtp3/comment/ln7ckkv/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) and returned to #1 thanks to an excellent episode with [Kana](https://imgchest.com/p/9rydaje96yk) and [Akane](https://imgchest.com/p/ljyqz8mzoy2).

      [**Pseudo Harem**](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/1fknu3n/comment/lnxv82l/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) and [**Days with my Stepsister**](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/1fkjnsx/comment/lnwfimb/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) had great endings (and it’s reflected in their position in ranking), and while Pseudo Harem is a complete adaptation, I can’t say the same about Stepsister so I really hope that we’ll get another season to see how [Saki](https://imgchest.com/p/ej7mkwnkayd) and [Yuuta](https://imgchest.com/p/bp45zp8zv45)’s [relationship](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/l7lxcvbjg67.png) will develop further, and in the meantime I’ll check out its LN.

      [**Shoushimin Series**](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/1fgs50t/comment/ln4tf0y/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) also ended on a strong note and with quite a shake-up for [Osanai](https://imgchest.com/p/5xy233a394l) and [Kobato](https://imgchest.com/p/ej7mkkw3nyd), so I’m looking forward to the next season, which has already been announced.

      I guess nobody would have predicted that out of all the anime that aired this season, **Days with my stepsister** would be in the top 5 r/anime karma rankings !!!

      One of my favourites this season and an excellent finale as well. The entire team behind this deserves a huge round of applause for creating this superb piece of work with their limited resources.

    4. I rly think roshidere should be lower, it was such a big project with interested characters but the main character and story is just really bad imo

    5. So many shows done last week, what am I supposed to do this week. Days with my Stepsister at #4 lol. Who would have thought going into this season it would do that well.

    6. Sengoku Youko almost didn’t make the chart this time and NieR Automata fell to the right side of it. [](#scaredmio)

      At least Yatagarasu made the list again.

      *Days With My Stepsister* is peak cinema.

      *Shoushimin* left me angry and upset but it was a beautiful show throughout. Just hate such a cliffhanger but I’m happy to at least know a sequel is coming up, even if it’s a 7 month wait. The OP is so damn beautiful, those first 13 notes got me feeling things.

      *Pseudo Harem* is just pure cheesy diabetes, I love it.

    8. 18,840 overall karma is up 2642 karma from last week.

      【Oshi no Ko】S2 at just under 3k karma and Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! is still cleanly in 2nd even though it lost 316 karma and the shows under it are getting the finale boost.

      Very happy for Pseudo Harem’s +451 karma to end up at 1190 karma and a Top 5 spot for its finale.
      Also its MAL score went from 7.56 to 7.87. A +0.31 jump.

      Days With My Stepsister also got a minor MAL score boost from last week. 7.29 to 7.42. A +0.13 boost.

      Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian did not get a MAL boost. Last week’s score was 7.87 compared to this week’s 7.77.

      Much needed boost to overall karma is MONOGATARI Series: OFF & MONSTER Season returning with 905 karma and The Elusive Samurai returning with 775 karma.

      SHOSHIMIN: How to Become Ordinary may have been knocked out of the Top 10, but the +113 karma for its finale and the minor MAL score boost from 7.27 to 7.32 is nice.
      ________
      Favorite banner of the week: Pseudo Harem.
      Second choice is The Elusive Samurai. Very bold.

      Damn, this anime season went by quick, I still have so many shows to catch-up to. Really strong gains for the finale of **Pseudo Harem** and **Days with my Stepsister**, I’m pleasantly surprised by how consistently well these 2 shows do on various rankings despite having lower production values than some other shows below them.

      Also, weekly reminder to watch **Yatagarasu: The Raven Does Not Choose It’s Master**, a very underwatched show with some of the best story and worldbuilding from this year’s anime. Like a lot of mystery show it starts off slow to build up the world and characters, so give it a few episodes to get going because the payoff is amazing.

    10. Giji Harem is the definition of simple done so so right. Not surprised by that jump in ranking. And it ended so neatly too.

      Gimai Seikatsu also with a big jump and also not surprising cos it also wrapped things up nicely. I feel like the it had a chill vibe that I enjoyed throughout and some nice light drama too. It was consistent in what it does and it just feels different from the usual romance/drama

      Oshi no Ko finally overtook Makeine huh. Well, OnK did have a bombshell of an episode though so not surprised.

      Slime and MayoPan has been so much the past few eps so surprised they went down a few spots but it could also just be other shows performing well.

      Lots of shows ending this week. As usual the post-seasonal-depression might kick in soon lol

    11. Weekly reminder to watch Nier Automata, final episode next week alongside an announcement from Yoko Taro at Tokyo Game Show that same day.

    12. Aqua takes both kana and akane on dates and also reclaims first karma ranking.

      Losing heroines is back where a losing heroine should stay: second place.

    13. Saturdays this season have been absolutely stacked with quality shows.

      * Monogatari
      * Elusive Samurai
      * Atri
      * Makeine
      * Shoushimin
      * Yatagarasu

      Another one that really has been good that has been a big sleeper is Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin. It’s very rare to get a quality anime based on a Console game, and it is even surprising we have two as we also have NieR Automata this season has been outstanding. Truly a gem and the funny thing it is the PA Words is a studio that has an excellent track record. The animation & writing has been solid and has been executing the emotional moments well. Well worth a try.

      No Longer Allowed in World continues to be a standout adaptation by the studio that did Isekai Ojisan, and it is funny how the type of protagonist in both series are both older and are definitely intriguing. No Longer Allowed in Another World has been on a great run, and they have been adapting the manga well. The the best part is that it has avoided the production issues that have plagued Isekai Ojisan.

      As a Ln reader of Alya coming into the anime, we had the announcement of it being delayed into summer and OnK moving upcoming out in the summer. Not mention Ln RomCom series haven’t had a good track record of adaptations. (Same thing can be said regarding Makeine & Gimai) I was nervous that we would get a poor Ln adaptation, but not only did Alya did well, but so did Makeine & Gimai. Overall, I am pleased with how the adaptation went. While I still feel that it could have been better, at the end of the day, it did a good job.

      Pleased to see the small boost for Atri. Atri has been my favorite character this season as the exploration of her character in these past few episodes has been great. The only nitpick is that getting pacing right from a Visual Novel isn’t easy, and it feels like if it got 15 episodes it would have been perfect. Still, Atri has been great. Atri makes for a great binge and appeals to those that want a nicely written Romantic Drama.

      Dungeon people is really good . It’s about dungeon management but very relaxing with a good protagonist duo . I personally think it complements dungeon meshi really well .
