      **Synopsis** (Vertical)
      >This surreal-slapstick series revolves around a penniless college student, Midori Nagumo, who lives in an ordinary city filled with not-quite-ordinary people. And as this reckless girl runs about, she sets the city in motion.
Midori is in a bit of a bind. She is in debt, and her landlady is trying to shake her down for unpaid rent. Her best friend refuses to loan her cash since she’s wised up to her tricks. Maybe some bullying would help. Or a bit of petty theft? Neither is sustainable. Maybe getting a job would settle things… But working means less time for fun adventures in the big city…

      **Cast**

      – Midori Nagumo (CV: Mikako Komatsu)
      – Niikura (CV: Aki Toyosaki)
      – Wako Izumi (CV: Yui Ishikawa)

    3. Anime watchers: You know, Nichijou was great. Too bad that it didn’t sell that well

KyoAni: TOO BAD WE’RE DOING IT AGAIN ANYWAY

    4. FINALLY!!!!
If you loved Nichijou you’ll love this, if just as funny and random as it. It was my first ever physical manga that I bought. Honestly so ready for this.
And who knows, its completed so we might get it fully adapted.

      ^^^^maybe ^^^^even ^^^^Nichijou ^^^^S2 ^^^^is ^^^^a ^^^^bit ^^^^closer.

    5. Anime industry is now save from Isekai and kick off party trope.

We back at funny gag anime with hint of heartwarming story.

      🥳🥳🥳🥳

Joke aside, this is going to be good.

    6. More brainrot comedy was not on my bingo card for the KyoAni announcements, i’m whelmed but i’ll see how it goes by the first episode of this.

We all know KyoAni is gonna go ham with the animation with this one as Nichijous spiritual successor lol

    8. SuperAlloyBerserker on

OH MY GOD, I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING

THIS IS LITERALLY THE BEAT ALTERNATIVE TO A SEASON 2 OF NICHIJOU

    9. SuperAlloyBerserker on

Wow, Nichijou must’ve gained a cult following since this post got 26 comments in just 15 minutes lol

    10. Just when I started watching Nichijou, loving every second of it, contemplating ever finishing it because i want more of it, comes this announcement, that is not only by the same creator, but also the same studio that brought us Nichijou.

    11. SuperAlloyBerserker on

Huh, I wonder why they added “The Animation” in its title

I guess City on its own is too short and vague?

    12. Can’t wait for City next year.

Come to think of it, who is gonna go after City the Animation for streaming and home video? My guess is either Sentai or Crunchyroll.

CR Films is gonna release the Kanna film in both Japanese and English.

    13. FUCKING YESSSS I GOT CHILLS.

In my opinion, Arawi’s best work and I have Nichijou as one of my top 10 anime.

      FUCKKKKKKK LETS GOOOOO

      Edit: Alright I’ve composed myself.

City in my opinion is an absolute masterpiece. Arawi said that making City made him fall in love as a mangaka again after being burned out by Nichijou ending.

City prides itself with a HUGE cast of crazy characters, with no real main character – switching focus every few chapters.

While Nichijou was very random with its chapters, CITY had some amazing arcs where the whole cast would get bundled into and meet. It’s freaking amazing and I can’t wait for the amazing race arc to be adapted.

The characters are the star of the show.

The main character is technically a jobless bum who tries anything to make money. She’s the greatest.

You think Principal Vs deer was peak….wait till you see Nagumo vs landlord Grandma

    14. I absolutely love this, I think its even better than nichijou since it has actual relevant plot, not just random gag moments like nichijou.

    15. i never thought we’d get more nichijou since the anime wasnt hugely popular. but im so here for it

    16. StreetyMcCarface on

I have such mixed feelings about this.
On one hand, Nichijou is effectively returning.
On another, 20th century electricity catalogue is effectively dead.

I think I’m more upset about 20-denki tbh.

    17. CosmicPenguin_OV103 on

Wow this is quite the surprise, I love *Nichijou* (especially the Mio-Yuuko pair) so I think this one will be an instant watch for me whatever season it airs on!

    18. I think i’m going to cry

      Not a joke

      Like actually

For the uninitiated, this is basically: “Nichijou College”
