“We send goblins to their death on a daily basis and since kidnapping female adventurers for breeding purposes was hard, my mentor found a way to create more of them”

Belle anyone would be speechless after hearing you say something so messed up in such casual way. With that said…. I find this whole system extremely fascinating

The goblins of this dungeon are essentially sentient plants in goblin form

No rapey goblins this time, these mfers grow in the ground like turnips or some shit lol.

I’m curious to learn more about Belle too. She’s pretty mysterious. I wonder if she’s also some kind of monster? Doesn’t look like she sleeps or does anything else but manage the dungeon.

    3. So there’s a potentially missing set of biological parents in addition to Clay’s missing father. She said they were dead but that could be a thieves guild lie.

Belle clearly needs a vacation, but then again so does Clay.

I’m torn between guessing that this Wind Slicer person is Clay’s biological father and thinking that that’s probably wrong, if it was someone who brought their daughter into the dungeon then her adoptive father seems likely to be the only one who fits based on Clay’s age.

So, goblins grow like weeds, literally. Definitely new goblin lore to me at least.

    4. Belle sometimes talks about the wildest things without any reservations. So if I’m understanding her right, she totally would’ve been fine with the goblins raping female explorers if they could’ve caught enough of them…

This isn’t the first time either that she’s shown very little to no concern for the fate of the human explorers. If we’re taking Belle’s previous comment about a “reused body” into account and the fact she’s seemingly never asleep, I’m getting the impression that Belle might not actually be human.

I’m going out on a limp here, but what if Belle is the daughter of this Wind Slicer instead of Clay? That her father got killed by the previous dungeon master when they reached the tenth floor? Maybe her predecessor took pity when Belle also died in the process and reanimated her body? Meaning that she’s more of a monster than human.

I can see her own life therefore being intertwined with the dungeon’s existence in some way, giving her enough reason for maintaining it. This would explain much of her behaviour.
