Looking forward to see how the writer solves the deus ex will-shifting unique skill of Masayuki! Have a hard time seeing him do that without another deus ex unique skill or simply by ‘overpowering’ him.

Real recognise real, Masayuki saw Gobta’s cool Henshin sequence with Ranga and conceded.
Rimuru giving Masayuki hints and having him test the dungeon, close enough, welcome back Kirito the Beater.
Rimuru really averted a whole crisis over a short chat with Elmesia and Dwargon. It pays to have friends and competent people around you.
Masayuki kinda reminds me of King from One Punch Man except his godtier luck actually helps him defeat enemies. Look what happened with Were Gobta. Guy won the tournament by default and still ended up losing. Milim’s training is gonna kill the poor fella lol.
Nice to see Masayuki and Rimuru becoming friends. I’m sure his unique skill’s gonna come in handy for Rimuru.

I’m really curious if Rimuru is completely immune to Masayuki’s power or not. I guess he is? I think he’s of the few who recognised Masayuki is doing nothing at all.
It’s a bit anticlimactic how they resolved things with just talking and no misunderstanding anymore, but that’s a really nice conversation! I can see how relieved Masayuki is being able to finally talk normally with other people.
Also Gobta is a hidden gem. I thought last week that Geld should be more powerful than Gobta. However, with his new Ranga power then Gobta has that oomph needed as one of the four kings. I wonder why the author just not just make Ranga as another shintenou candidate rather than being just Gobta’s power up.
Also love that he’s gone from Hakurou to Lilim lol.

Now back to the tournament. Gobta vs the Hero ! Ah so that’s what Raphael wanted to tell Rimuru last week. Gobta got a new skill and an insane one at that. Him and Ranga look badass. Lmao Masayuki just unintentionally looking calm and unfazed when he’s actually freaking out.
Haha Gobta is still Gobta I guess. Or was that also the Hero’s skill at play ? Hmmm. And well, it gets worse for Gobta. Not only will Hakuro be tougher on him but Milim also wants to train him. Not to mention he probably won’t get that new fishing rod.

The meeting between Rimuru and Masayuki was pretty wholesome too. I mean I know neither of them are bad people but it was very friendly and things ended on good terms too. But Masayuki still being wary at the start was kinda funny, “For my last meal ?” Lmao

After all the misunderstandings I’m so glad Rimuru got to talk with Masayuki like that. Boy just wants to chill (and be a beta tester now, really takes you back).

It helps to have a dwarven king like Gazel in your pocket so he can help fix your financial issue and cover the merchant cost of the festival! And admonish you for rushing so much into it that you didn’t properly figure out your budget. A lesson for next time!
And then we’ve got Elmesia covering the rest of the money they need with her “pocket change” of a thousand gold coins in her coin purse. And as carefree and blithe as she acts, she’s a peer of Gazel’s grandfather, and not someone you should underestimate or get in the way of when she wants something…like a free invite to all future festivals!
Well, they figured out this was all probably orchestrated by a certain insidious merchant organization to sabotage Tempests’ standing, but luckily they were able to clear things up before it got any worse. And in the process deepen their relationships with other nations!
Elmesia wants to make a formal alliance with Rimuru, but she has obvious concerns about Diablo. So much so that she and Rimuru match overwhelming aura’s against each other. But Diablo is just a puppy dog to Rimuru, so if he ever gets rowdy, Rimuru will just rein him in. And not only does that make Diablo happy, but now Elmesia is even more impressed by Rimuru. Perfect lead-in to Thalion joining the Jura Tempest Federation.
It’s the fight we’ve all been waiting for, Masayuki vs Gobta! And Masayuki wants to be anywhere BUT there, especially for a fight he can’t talk his way out of. And Gobta has so much riding on this fight that he’ll overcome Masayuki’s intimidating aura and bring out his super cool fusion form with Ranga! There’s no way they can lose! Other than by overestimating their own strength and missing Masayuki entirely.
So, Masayuki won! Except not, because he forfeits and gives the win to Gobta! Because he ants nothing more to get out of this alive, and he’ll leave it up to the people and the mass-brainwashing of his awesomness to come up with his motivations themselves.
Congrats Gobta, you’re a member of the Elite 4! But you disappointed Hakuro and Milim enough to get the full course training treatment in the dungeon! And Ranga’s not getting out of it either! Did he even get the fishing rod from Rimuru!?
It’s nice to see Rimuru and Masayuki getting to know each other as fellow Japanese over Japanese cuisine, and in doing so Masayuki finds someone he can genuinely be open and honest with about his circumstances and how much he hates being a “hero.” And Rimuru finds not only a decent kid who he can bounce off ideas but someone who can be the perfect poster boy for the labyrinth. So gaining a friend, a new hype-man, AND a marketable face all in one.
Mjöllmile was straight up about to have a heart attack when Rimuru and Elmesia began releasing their auras 💀
God this arc and more like this whole season is so boring, nothing’s actually interesting going on. There’s no complexity in this world, nor are there any interesting fights.
I’d rather take another season of slime diaries than whatever this was
Is it weird this is not at all the outcome I expected, but also exactly what I thought would happen? I feel like Masayuki’s party will “force” him to keep adventuring and doing Hero stuff, but really hoping he considers Tempest his home and comes back often. Rimuru just cant stop catching all the OP characters!
Little confused why Elmesia was so surprised that Rimuru would personally deal with Diablo, and for some reason I found her dumping her “pocket money” on the table to be way funnier than it was supposed to be. Looking forward to her showing up more often too.
Millim is the best, that is all, her scenes were everything this ep!
I was expecting Gobta to transform into Garo, a bit disappointed.
Masayuki has probably acquired impostor syndrome with all those ridiculous events working in his favor.
I’m surprise Rimuru actually gave out his previous life name. I do like Masayuki just wants to chill, and enjoy life like normal people. It seems like only Rimuru reincarnated in this world, most of them seems to be transported.
Honestly Tempest is like isekai heaven. You got all the foods from previous life, and a more post medieval facilities (toilet). I probably miss eating rice, spaghetti or even normal hamburger if I got isekai’d.
Masayuki is much more powerful than he realizes. He thinks his skill is a joke even though he won the tournament with it. Luck is an OP stat and can turn certain defeat into victory. If he had actual confidence in it he’d be a serious force to reckon with.
The whole premise of Rimuru struggling to pay the vendors is just so silly. In real life, vendors pay you for the opportunity to sell their wares at your festival, not the other way around. I know people who have sold stuff at small local festivals, and there was a waiting list for vendors wanting to pay the festival for the right to sell their stuff there.
This would absolutely also be the case here; this is not a small local festival, it’s a huge international event. People would be begging, bribing, and conniving to get the opportunity to sell at this festival, and Rimuru would be making money, not struggling to find a way to pay.
What a fun ep lol. As expected, Gazel came to rescue but mommy Elmesia also came in clutch with her “pocket money”. She is the most fun female character yet. Also her realization that Rimuru actually kept a primordial demon under him, waiting for Rimuru to realize Diablo’s importance himself.
Poor Gobta and Ranga tho, caught the eye of the worst yet probably the best person, he deserves something bigger than a fishing rod if he survives that ordeal.
Masayuki also finally got to relax genuinely, got a friend from Japan and a job as dungeon tester. His lore is definitely one of the best in story, hope anime goes on till that full reveal
