Actually really hyped seeing them paired with each other for the tournament. Also lmao Rimuru wanting to gauge Masayuki’s strength when all this time he was seeing it. The power of plot armor
The fights were actually a lot of fun. Of course Masayuki used his hero charisma Skill to get through. But the battle between the Ox and Horse and Carrion and Geld were some powerhouse fights. And while not particularly strong, Gobta sure has become an intelligent fighter. Even Hinata seemed to acknowledge it and so did Raphael ? That was really curious indeed. Wonder if there was an actual matter there or just a gag regarding Gobta
But still it’s Gobta against Masayuki in the finals. I’m actually looking forward to this. And have to say, Soka is the silent MVP of this tournament. Just the right amount of hype and info. What a great host.
I’ve said this last week but this arc has been so fun. A lot of SOL and shenanigans. A bit of ominous movements sprinkled in but mostly happy times. Can’t help but feel this is the fruits of the past seasons’ hardships. Though does this mean there’s going to be a more grave threat looming ?
Really curious what Raphael wanted to say about Gobta!! Despite being helped by Ranga, Gobta still managed to dodge all of Carrion’s attack on his own and that’s really something. I mean, even though he’s not using his true form Carrion is still a demon lord.
I appreciate them not dragging the tournament arc while still making each fight fun to watch.
Also wondering why Raphael didn’t just tell Rimuru about Masayuki’s luck power.

I’m pretty glad they didn’t drag out the tournament here ngl. Like, the battles were cool but they didn’t need to be more than a few minutes each. Plus, I just wanna get to the finals and see what happens there.

Of course Masayuki uses his OP skills to breeze his way to the final. We all love Gobta, but Masayuki literally has “Main Character Plot Armour” as his unique skill.
And its pretty much set up where he will face off against Rimuru for the title of True Main Character.

I like how Hinata and Rimuru are close friends now after the fight. Eating together and hanging out. Even with that judgemental look she gave him in the tournament because of what Gobta said lmao.

i was a bit shocked with how brutal the Bovix v Equix fight was, those 2 are unhinged honestly
It’s time for the martial arts tournament! And Soka is doing an amazing job as the host! She’s even finding room to plug the dungeon! She’s a natural at this.
I get why Rimuru didn’t want his three strongest vassals involved in the tournament, it wouldn’t even be a competition (aside from against each other) but to placate them he had to come up with an “Elite Four” status and this tournament is now about finding the fourth member! The stuff Rimuru has to come up with to keep people happy.
We’ve got Masayuki, Jinrai, Bovix, Equix, Gaiye, even Geld and Gobta competing! Oh, and “Lion Mask” who is totally not a former a demon lord being forced to participate by Milim.
I love how Masayuki (and even Gobta) doesn’t want to be there and Rimuru just can’t understand anything about Masayuki and all the hype around him.
Bovix vs Equix! The longstanding rivals now with a dungeon boss boost from Rimuru! But Equix learned too late that when you mess with the bull…you get the horns!
Gobta’s heart isn’t in this fight, but while Gaiye is a speedy swordsman Gobta has skills…and with the promise of a fishing rod from Rimuru, the willingness to summon Ranga to beat his opponent.
Geld vs Lion Mask! The best defense versus the best offense! But both are holding themselves back in this clash of fists, though when Lion Mask unleashes one of his secret moves, Geld can’t quite tank it. I’m curious how different the outcome would’ve been if they’d both gone all out.
Did Masayuki seriously just talk Bovix into giving up by making him feel like they should have a proper fight in the dungeon when he’s recovered? Stole Soka’s microphone and everything. And then Bovix actually DOES it and the crowd goes wild. And you see Masayuki sweating buckets because he absolutely did NOT want to fight Bovix.
Gobta vs Lion Mask! And Gobta plays to the heel perfectly, complete with tag-teaming Lion Mask and playing dirty to damage his mask in true wrestler fashion! It’s not pretty, but a win is a win! Even if now Hinata respects Gobta but maybe respects Rimuru a little less for teaching him that method.
Gobta vs Masayuki! Who will win? And what surprise is Gobta holding that Raphael seems to be aching to tell Rimuru?
