Dang, we almost went a whole episode without Russian. That’s what stress does.

Japanese Student Councils scare the heck out of me.

Huh? I still don’t understand what merit in becoming part of the student council this late in the series. I don’t even remember if they ever say the name of the school.

Only Kuze can pass off a comment like confirming Alya’s cup size to keep her nerves calm and then get a confirmation in Russian after. What a chad.

Found it funny how this whole thing started with Taniyama picking a fight because her favourite pairing fell apart and only ran away when her underhanded tactics didn’t work. Thats some dedication to a ship.

All right since taniyama is a kuze x yuki shipper I dont hate her anymore. She is a fellow comrade

Turns out Sayaka is creating all this fuzz because she’s a firm Yuki Shipper. Scenes when Sayaka realizes she’s unknowingly into Wincest.

So during Middle School, Masachika is literally The Eminence in Shadow, ruling his Middle School’s SC from behind the scenes.

BTW Sayaka’s sidekick Nonoa looks a lot like Hayasaka from Kaguya Sama. But both she and Sayaka are voiced by Bocchi and Kita from Bocchi The Rock.

Well that meeting was a colossal waste of time. Taniyama really underestimated Alya and Kuze. Really projected her own issues onto Alya. Those really two crushed it in that general assembly.

Yuki and Ayano make a pretty hilarious pair but I think they’ll lose to Kuze and Alya.

So Taniyama is a YukixMasachika shipper and thinks Alya is a homewrecker

Damn I was so sure Nonoa was voiced by Kurosawa Tomoyo at the start there. But then I looked it up and it was Bocchi (Aoyama Yoshino). And even better I looked up Sayaka and she was voiced by Kita (Hasegawa Ikumi) lol. Got a little Bocchi the Rock reunion with them playing wildly different characters.

And how does she do it ? Only a few minutes of screentime and Yuki’s the highlight of the episode again. I really do like how many sides of Yuki there are. Student Council Yuki, Otaku Yuki, Brocon Yuki and we saw some Boss Lady Yuki there. And her VA does an amazing job with all those sides too.

Ayano pointing out strengthening your opponent or wanting to fight them at their strongest is what the loser would do lol.

Ah so Masachika helped Yuki before cos he felt guilty for leaving her. But I do wonder if Yuki even wanted to run for president back then or was that like something their grandfather expected of them.

Also, “barely right” lmao. Yuki did say she was estimating right ?

Introduce teacher screenings to field student council candidates? Why, that’s practically a direct attack on Masachika knowing most teachers would take one look at him and not see him as student council material. And Alya is taking it personally, not just for the insult to herself but to her beloved Kuze-kun!

Look, it’s Bocchi running with Kita! I mean, Nonoa voiced by Yoshino Aoyama as this carefree and chill blonde Gyaru who is best friends with Taniyama and is willing to use her popularity and social contacts in the student body to make sure her gal pal wins this.

Alya is definitely feeling the pressure, particularly given her issue with public speaking, but what about her E-Cups!? What a way to get her to stop thinking too much, Masachika.

I guess on paper I understand wanting the student council to be made up of the best of the best basically chosen by the teachers, to make sure there isn’t any riffraff or anyone unqualified to be in it rather than letting it be open season.

But Alya with the rebbutal! If they put teachers in charge, it undermines the authority of the student council president and vice-president and defeats the point of electing them to an office of authority! The power should remain in the hands of the student.

Nonoa you little minx! Slipping in plants to criticize Alya and throw her off when you realize Taniyaman couldn’t beat her in a debate!

But luckily Masachika is there to bring it all home and make everyone realize it’s pointless to be debating this when they elected Touya and he never would have passed the screening that was being advocated for anyways. Not that Touya appreciated getting roped into Masachika’s speech.

Wow, Taniyama straight up bailed! No wonder Nonoa just threw her hands up in defeat. Girl lost to Masachika and Yuki and had to believe in them as a dream team so much to process her defeat, but she knew she was just projecting on them, which is why she reacted so badly when “homewrecker” Alya came in. But Alya will accept her feelings and do everything she can to prove worthy of being chosen by Masachika!

Yuki doing her best anime villain impression from the lighting room, even if that makes it more likely she’ll lose and she and Ayano really should not be drinking tea in that room.

Why did Masachika choose Alya over Yuki? When he ran with Yuki, he was driven by guilt, and he never really enjoyed it and tried to stay out of the spotlight…but with Alya, he feels actually motivated and WANTS to be her running mate. So, yeah, Masachika chose Alya. And that’s enough to make her day and say it to him sweetly in Russian!

“Correct, just barely” – So wait, does that mean their smaller than an E-Cup? Or bigger!? We must know, Alya!

It’s kind of sad in a way that the whole show gets overshadowed by Yuki. Like seriously, she had what, 2 minutes of screen time, but she used them to perfection.

I know they’ve been hinting a lot that while he appears to be a slacker, Masachika is actually really capable, but it’s pretty cool actually getting to see it in action.

It probably isn’t revolutionary advice but Kuze’s line about seeing the perfect version of yourself as the true enemy stuck with me.

And forget the actual debate, watching Ayano have the tyrant of mindgames herself at a loss for words for once was the real victory.
