This scene is even more insane in English. Localization team understood the assignment and the VA delivered, this is how dubs should be done. [Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian – Official Crunchyroll Dub]

Okay, so I don’t handle dubs very well and even this short scene is a perfect example. Like, why would she refer to her brother as her “onii-chan”, or even greet him with “ohayo”? Why? If you’re speaking english… use english. “Brother” is a perfectly acceptable translation. “Good morning” is also a greeting which exists.

This reeks of 100%, undiluted, pure weabooism.

All that’s missing from this shitfest of a dub is a little [TL note: “Onii-chan” means “Brother”] at the top of the screen.

I wasn’t sure a sub would work for this show but I think they got the first three major roles pretty spot on. It’s fun in its own way.

    3. Lmao sure buddy. There are very good examples of actually good English Dubbing.
This simply ain’t it. Like it’s the perfect mix of annoying and overacting.

    4. A good thing about watching anime subbed, is no-one can overhear when I watch stuff like this lol.
