Before watching Monogatari I used to thing it was a pretentious artsy anime with weird fan service. I didn’t expect it to be this heartfelt and charming.

I always want to get back into this series but with the ordering I have no fucking idea where I left off and get annoyed when I remember a scene only as its playing.
On that note, anyone able to gobblespit a guess as to which season/episode it was that he re-encounters the schoolgirl loli he has some very non-appropraite jokes with on the street for most of the episode? I think it was early in a season and certainly not the first one, but fuck me otherwise with the chronology being what it is.

Even without the whole season as a buildup, this scene is absolutely perfect
There are really few moments that could describe just how amazing anime can be, and at the pinnacle you’ll find this scene, not a single moment, not a single microsecond, a single sound or pixel is out of place, everything is as it should
Im so glad to have watched Monogatari, this deserves a Kizumonogatari/Bakemonogatari rewatch
